Oh god, I do hope they put on the Specials. They certainly have room for it with 2 discs. They could put 8 episodes on one disc and have the second disc have all the specials and vingettes on it. I don't care if they are the series versions or the original versions of the specials, either. The special versions would be harder to pull off, because I know at least the Summer Vacation one had differerent music that had to be changed for later airings.
Seriously, if they ARENT on there, it's just more proof that paramount sucks at DVDs >: Fans of the series aren't going to ignore the fact that the specials aren't on there. The only excuse I'll accept is that Paramount is negotiating rights for the original music to be put on "Summer Vacation" so they can make a single disc release of the original versisons of the specials down the road.

I hope that DVD is available in Europe at some point too. I fucking love that show. Bus Driver Stu is the best character ever.

292 minute time = 13 22 minute episodes. But Pete and Pete runs at about 24 minutes per episode.
292 minutes time also = 12 24 minute episodes. So that leads me to conclude they are leaving off "Summer Vacation," which could only mean that they intend to include it later with the music cleared, or at least try to.
That, or they intend to include a bunch of new extras. But if they cared enough to produce new extras, they'd care enough to know that fans would want the specials...
But then again Paramount did leave off the first episode of Spongebob Squarepants from it's first season DVD becuase they didnt want to pay for a Tiny Tim song.
But if that were the case they could easily use the version with Polaris music replacing the REM music.
Hopefully it's a mistake.
Or maybe the specials actually ran SHORTER than the series, and they were only made longer by the inclusion of the themesong when they were re-edited for the series?
But then it still doesnt quite add-up.
PREPARE FOR DISAPOINTMENT

I got into this show while watching it in hotel rooms on vacation, since it took forever for my parents to get cable. Recently I was downloading episodes, but that is a pain in the ass, this is great news.

I'm not going to be that pissed about the specials, the show was a lot better anyways. I just hope they release the other 2 seasons pretty quick after.
