Beautiful film with smart fight scenes, that have amazing choreography. I saw it with subtitles, but it's no problem and there's not a lot of dialogue anyhow. JUst one of those that needs to be seen on the big screen.

Along the lines of Crouching Dragon and Hero, the heroin spends most of her time on the verge of death and rape and fights brilliantly. Very far-fetched which adds to it the whole thing.

Here's a trailer:

Watch it you bastards.

I prefer my heroin straight up in the vein.

Scenery and costumes was top notch. Cinematography was reminiscent of other similar chinese fighting movies, but w/o the over the top flying.

its like crouching tiger more than hero. Got a better story in my opinion.

Yeah more like Crouching Dragon - more story and better action.
Got a bit silly in the end as the seasons kept changing, but shit-hot fight in the bamboo forest.
