GN writes, "Oscar-winner Quentin Tarantino is in final negotiations to write and direct the Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie, an all new Friday the 13th for New Line.

While the rumor mill had long suggested that the next movie might be Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, that project never came together for a number of reasons.

Fans will instead be treated to the Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie. The project will be a co-venture between New Line and Paramount Pictures. It is expected to be a "quickie" that could get underway as early as this year!

Tarantino's production company, A Band Apart, referred us to the William Morris Agency. A rep at WMA would only advise us that Tarantino has "not yet" been offered the job while refusing to elaborate any further."

Am I missing something here? "GN" claims Tarantino is going to make a movie, but his own agency says he hasn't even been made an offer yet. Does that sound the least bit credible?

XP reports, Andre the Giant is starring in Lucasfilms' latest release "the Hobbit." The movie will be released this summer. It's gonna be so awesome!

Andre's late family reminded us he's dead, so we put that in a little blurb at the end.

Could anyone honestly imagine a Tarantino-made horror film being very good? He only wrote and produced From Dusk Till Dawn, and that movie was really fucking stupid.

Tarantino is good in his own right, but his style doesn't transfer well to Horror (or Martial Arts, while we're at it).

Anyone notice that it was sports who posted this?

I refuse to beleive that Tarantino is directing any franchise he didn't create. Give me some concrete proof.

From dusk till dawn kicked ass. If you were expecting anything other than what it was, you're just a dumbass.

that would have been very interesting, only if he didnt "ghetto it up"

and by that i mean make bond some sort of drug addict, give him a black partner, and have some sort of tortue scene

Kill Bill Vol. 1 was average. Tarantino's dialogue and plot devices are way overrated. The actual direction was good, and the story wasn't bad. But all in all, it was an homage to films of the past (as intended, and carried out perfectly), that were they released today, wouldn't be well-received. Now Vol. 2 was leaps and bounds better, and it wasn't as reliant on being a martial arts hack film. People like Vol. 1 because of the ridiculous amount of blood spraying about. People didn't like Vol. 2 because it lacked that ridiculous amount of blood. I kind of wish he'd just edited out some of the violence and released them as one film.

Dusk Till Dawn wasn't supposed to be good? OH OK I GUESS THAT MEANS IT'S OK THAT IT SUCKED AND EVERYONE SHOULD LOVE IT FOR SUCKING! Again, it wasn't a BAD film, but it was just stupid. The only redeeming part was the crotch-gun, and the demon band that played instruments made of human body parts.

i didnt say it was supposed to be loved for sucking, i was just saying it wasnt supposed to be good. i thought it was entertaining, and that's all it was supposed to be.

From dusk till dawn was good for what it was... Tarentino making a horror movie. It was just like kill bill except it was paying homage to B-movie vampire and horror flicks hence the cameo's like Tom Savini and the scene where they are all talking about what they can use to kill vampires... ass

In related news, now that the project has been canned, here's the script for the proposed "Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash" movie.
