I wonder if Garrison is going to be back to normal without explaination next week like they have done many times with other stuff or if this is a permanent thing.

Good way to start the new season!

Now that Mr. Garrison is a "woman" (it's a cosmetic change, since he didn't have ovaries installed), he can say he loves men without being gay about it. Now he'd be in denial if he said he doesn't love other women.

They said so in a promo at Canal Plus, but I don't know for sure. I also remember an interview with Parker and Stone where they said how many seasons they were contracted to do and that they wouldn't renew once their contract was up. But don't quote me on this.

I read on tvtome that they had a contract in for a 10th season. So if SP ends soon it'll end after the 10th.

It was funny to see the mayor still alive after shooting herself. I guess it was stressful enough to have a Ms. Garrison now and have the mayor dead too.

WILLIE'S (http://www.spscriptorium.com) GOT SOME SECRETS FOR ALL OF YOU. I'm going to make fun of each one individually :(

Reggae on the River, Woodstock, Burning Man" - Reggae on the River, Woodstock 1969, Burning Man

PFFT, THANKS

The hippies here are depicted as, to paraphrase Vegetales, "the hippies who don't do anything." They have great ideas on how to improve the planet, but have no motivation at all to set things in motion.

"to paraphrase Vegetales" :rolleyes

The boys wear Che Guevara shirts, which Matt and Trey lampooned in SP:BLU.

THIS ONE IS LEGIT I GUESS >:

Linda Stotch is city treasurer and has either an engineering degree or experience as an engineer.

Stuff that's outrightly mentioned aren't secrets, dipshit.

"My son is in there!" - from Siege 3.

:rolleyes

Armageddon was written all over this one. Check it: The set (the glass wall with the red lines all over it). Chef was Michael Clarke Duncan. Butters' mom was Ben Affleck (the one with a loved one at home). Cartman was Bruce Willis. Randy was The four of them walking down the walk way with the crowds cheering. The shape of their little machine..

OK THERE NERD :rolleyes

When all the adults are talking about fixing potholes, Cartman barges in and starts talking about the hippies just like the dude is talking about the storm in The Day After Tomorow. For example, Cartman says: "2 hippies are coming here every second' and that one dude says: "The tempeture drops (some number) every second.".

The Day After Tomorrow was the shittiest movie I saw last year.

The whole episode follows the exact story line of The Core.

I NEVER SAW THE CORE BUT I DOUBT THAT IT'S ABOUT HIPPIES >:

The hippies were a jab at Ward Churchill, head of the department of Native American Studies, who wrote a paper saying that the US was asking, nay begging for 9-11 to happen and that the people who died in the Trade Towers were "little Eichmanns." The hippies used "little Eichmanns" several times in the episode.

WORD WORDS WRODS WODS

The WoodStock flashback with Stan's parents refutes Randy's flashback in "Something You Can Do With Your Finger." Woodstock took place in 1969, and if Randy and Sharon were 19 at that time, they'd be 54-55 now. Mr. Garrison would be in his 70s.

But that would mean Kathy Lee Gifford is also in her 70s but she's actually only 52. Take that Willie Westwood. >:

OK the secrets aren't as dumb as they used to be, I'm kind of disappointed. :(

I still can't believe they did the Terri Shiavo thing. That was great. And I hope you all got the references to the cheesetastic sci-fi thriller The Last Starfighter.

One South Park episode was actually created the last four days before broadcast. But that's just nuts, you'll kill yourself if you run a show like that. Most episodes are about three weeks in production, I think.

ha, cool. I watched guitar queer-o again last night... saw it this time. I haven't touched my PS2 since God of War 2; is Okami really worth picking up? I mean, it looks really nice but it seems like it would be kinda gimmicky. Plus I hear it's real short. Also after twilight princess, I'm not sure if I ever want to play as a wolf again. Thoughts? Suggestions? Insults?

Also, where is the third reference to Okami in this season? 1: Tourette 2: Guitar Queer-o 3:?

Emu

I'm not sure, someone told me they had seen it 3 times but couldn't say where. Maybe it is only twice.

I'm enjoying the hell out of Okami, and I've logged 25 hours on it and I'm only 2/3 (or so) of the way through it. It's what Twilight Princess should've been.

But let's keep that to the gaming forum, huh! :lol

I definitely understand what you're saying about the social commentary, Emu. I kept waiting for the parallel between the girls' club and the UN or US Supreme Court to be drawn. haha. It was a decent episode, but it was no 'make love, not warcraft' or 'scott tennorman (sp?) must die'.

it wasn't in the episode but here is the clip

i've seen funnier parodies of it on youtube and of course the original can't be beat

That was even less funny than LAST season

The first few usually are, I think they do it on purpose to piss me off.

Last season's premiere was the Jonas Bros/Mickey episode. I thought that episode was funnier than last night's but I still enjoyed it.

The jonas brothers episode is one of their best.

Man I'm getting tired of South Park. How long has it been more preachy than funny, like 8 years now?

That's exactly how I feel when watching new episodes, for the most part. There are still some good ones, but they're becoming increasingly rare.

Same here. I'll probably keep watching it in the hopes of catching the good ones, though.

I don't know. I think South Park has been consistently good for quite a while now. Season 13 was pretty spot on.

Grislygus

that was the stupidest goddamn episode I've ever seen

I rewatched two older ones that were on yesterday, the Passion of the Jew and the one where Randy's part of a secret society about Easter bunnies.

I don't know. I don't think I like South Park anymore. I remember finding the Mel Gibson shit funny the first time around, but both of these episodes had some really boring parts. I watched some old 3rd season episodes the other day, the spontaneous combustion one and the fight between Tweek and Craig, and I just wanted to watch something else. :(

Hairclub for men was awesome.

Yeah ok, but the reaction the show has been getting out from me lately is less "HAHAHAHAHAHA" and more "Oh, I see what they are doing and what they're trying to go for here, what a humorous situation."

I admit I laughed at them hopping around on their balls, but I didn't enjoy myself. :(

Grislygus

The hopping balls scene only got a laugh because of the music that was playing at the time :(

This was a good episode. The very idea that Stan's dad was even trying to get cancer was a good start, and then the hopping testicles actually made me laugh out loud, something I rarely get to do. I enjoyed the scarface stuff too and everything, but the scrotal coat was a very nice way to wrap the whole thing up. I didn't enjoy the previous episode, but this was a good one.

High standards previously set by the likes of South Park.

While it was full of inside jokes, it seemed to me they were doing to themselves what they normally do to everyone else.

Scott is Cartman's brother.

It's some crazy group who actually live in N.Y., so most likely they will attempt it, cause people living in America kinda get the feeling that they are right and should do something about it.
