I hated my ex-girlfriend's friends. So me and my girlfriend talked it out and around her friends I'd be kind of quiet and conservative, and I told my girlfriend to just interact with them rather than worrying about me, and I'd just stay back until they went away or something.

It worked really well, but you actually have to deal with her roommate rather than just someone she talks with a lot...so it's a lot different, I'm sure.
