I had a feeling it would be announced whether he would direct it or not one of these days, seeing how it was confirmed he wouldn't be doing X-Men 3. There's probably been some big meetings the last days.

I remember reading about him not being happy about the actress the studio wanted, but I can't remember who it was. I just remember I agreed with him. Hopefully he's been able to get someone he wants.

I totally want a Spike membership card! I loved Buffy, Angel was Great, Cordelia is great, Spike was my favorite, but I have to say I thought Firefly was even better.

I absolutely loved Firefly. I think the movie is coming out this September, which means I won't see it until way after September due to Norwegian cinemas not playing sci-fi unless they absolutely have to. But still, it's coming.

Yeah, I thought firefly had the most solid screenplays of anything I have ever seen on TV. I haven't seen every episode, but the ones I did see blew me away.

The only aspect I was puzzled by was the Geisha. She was real pretty at all, and she was a way better actress than most exceptionally pretty actresses, but aside from adding sex, she didn't take things anywhere. She was pretty much strictly a plot device, which would be fine on a lot of shows, but is really beneath Whedon.

It's hard to say because the series was cut so short, and it's quite possible he just hadn't gotten around to showing us why she was there beyond functional stuff like having status and access and the filler like looking hot and kissing a good looking woman.
