Congratulations are in order!
I just got off the phone with the proud daddy and the tired (but HAPPY) sounding mommy, and wanted to let everyone know that Jacob Lane was born this morning at 9:37am weighing in at 7lbs 12oz!
Mommy and baby are both doing just fine, and I'll let Glowbelly fill you in on the details when she's feeling a bit more spry (I don't wanna steal her thunder!)

Did she name it "Gorlack the Destroyer" per my request? We talked about it several times and I think I had her convinced that it was the right name for the kid. "Jacob Lane" is just his alias right?

It's good to hear you have a healthy baby boy! Yay for Karen and baby Jacob and the name of the guy who stuck his penis in your vagina hole! (don't remember his name)

I don't suppose you registered for a baby rocket? I can get you one, you know. They strap on like a backpack and they propel your infant to the clouds. Their descent is cushioned with a parachute and the entire contraption offers extra neck support, 'cause you know, infants' necks are like a wet noodle attached to a bocce ball.

thanks, everyone!

i honestly thought to myself after i saw him for the first time that i was supposed to say that he was going to be called gorlock the destroyer, but i was strapped to a table, couldn't feel my legs and i think the surgeon was tugging on my internal organs to get them back into the right position.

yup.

c-section. after 14 hours of labor and actually getting to the point where i was allowed to push, my labor regressed and we had to make the tough decision to take him c-section. we ended up making the right one as my doctor and my midwife both told me after the surgery that he wasn't coming out the natural way.

he's gorgeous. of course i'm biased, but he is. he looks like brian, but i think he has my eyes. he was 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20.5" long.

i'm fine. it's amazing that i had major surgery a week ago and i feel as good as i do. i have to remind myself to take it easy, though.

that's all for now. the babe is asleep so i'm going to try to do the same.

thanks again, everyone :D i'll post pictures of him soon.

I was outside my moms room when she had my little sister and judging from all the yelling I'd say that stuff must hurt like amotherfucker :( So congrats for having a kid and endure such pain. I'm sure It'll be worth it.

i hate changing my sig >:

it was painful. there was a moment where i completely zoned out and was mumbling to brian "i don't know what's happening i have no idea what's going on." that's right before they redosed my epidural and i was going through the hardest part of labor AGAIN because of the regression.

no matter though, cause this young lad came screaming into the world:

They don't show anything remotely close to the actual experience on television. Half the time the lady makes a couple grunts and a clean baby is handed to the father.

In reality that shit will blow your mind. The actual birth is wacky and should be rated "M" for mature.

Like watching a bloody melon squeeze through two cuts of swollen, raw sirloin.

Like watching the insides of Chicken Cordon Bleu squirt out, except instead of cheese and diced ham, it's a giant, slime-covered ham that blinks. BLINKS!

soon glowbelly will have no time for us because of that baby, it will be like on of those sitcoms where the elder child feels neglected when the baby comes

then the doll bought at the flea market tells him to kill it? Or is that going too far in this case?

Not true. I have a 16 month old daughter and I manage to squeeze in some time to visit the forums. Then again, I fled the scene once she was born and haven't made contact since. I plan on coming back in her life when she's 17 and wants closure during her adolescent identity crisis. I also plan on being completely dependent on Endust huffing, smell like kimchee and have been remarried three times - twice to Las Vegas transvestite showgirls.
