Agreed.. I can beat any of my fiends, just because he's so random... plus I know almost all of his moves :)
The spider walk at the beginning of the fight gets them every time :)

I've never liked Tekken and I watched some kids play 5.

The game just seems like it tries way too hard. They were playing on this one stage and every time someone fell over, whether they were lightly tripped or rocketing from the sky, the ground would like, explode, and rocks would shoot out. It was somewhat retarded.

I don't think DOA is a spectacular fighter by any means, but it at least knew how to work environment damage in tastefully.

Oh, and I've always hated how people like, "float" when they're knocked into the air in Tekken. Earlier versions of Virtua Fighter did it too.

Maybe it's just because I suck at these type of games, but 3-D fighters just never clicked with me. I bought VF4 the other day and I've been messing around with it, but nothing really strikes me as fantastic or worth learning.

I've always hated the "push any two buttons and you'll do a grab" system in Tekken. I respect that it's meant to be the arcade's 3-D fighter, but I always felt it was entirely too slow. I played Tekken 5 at a local Jillian's yesterday and everything just felt sluggish, to me.

Gimme Guilty Gear anyday.

The only 3D fighter I like and can pla alot is SC 2 (probably cuz I only ever played sould Blade when I was younger)

But I love the 2D fighting games, I always find myself wondering why I havent gotten around to playing Capcom Vs SNK EO. I don't quiete liek the EO controlls but the game itself is bitching.

Yeah, I just don't get near as much enjoyment out of 2d fighters as I do outta the 3d ones. It just seems so dated. I mean, I have midway arcade 2 for xbox and I still love beating the shit outta people in mk2 and 3, but that's for nostalgia sake.

I think the lack of control in 3D fighters is what gets me. It feels like side-stepping is real slow, whereas 2D fighters are kind of forced to be pretty fast-paced.
