If you don't have a computer by now, you're a dipshit.

If you think half-life 2 will run well on xbox, you're also a dipshit.

Not everyone has a computer that can run HL2, you jerk.
And sure, PC shooters are usually better than console shooters, but this is the only chance a large majority of people will get to play HL2.
So shut up. >:

Would valve Dare port a game that wouldn't run well on the ported console?

I read a review for the XBox version, it said that multiplayer was gone (but we have counterstrike, so w/e) but there are some major improvements over the vehicle parts and the lighting is much better. Also there are supposed to be some new levels, so I guess we'll see how this turns out.

Perhaps replacing some levels which would not run well on an xbox, the later ones with lots of striders and whatnot.

The source engine is highly scaleable so getting it running on the XBOX should not be too much of a problem.

But if i hear ONE person saying the console version if superiour in any way to the PC version i will chuck a hissyfit.

No, no levels were replaced. Don't touch the striders :(

To make it run on the Xbox they will probably have to sac some of the more awesome visual effects, but I think this will turn out ok in the end.

Kind of like when they put Halo on the PC.

System Reqs - 1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, Win 2000/XP, 4.5 GB of available Hard Drive Space

XBOX
CPU: 733 MHz
Total Memory: The RAM in the Xbox will be supplied by Micron, it will be 64 MB running at 200MHz DDR (Double-Data-Rate)

Considering the fact that a console generally gives better performance out of similar hardware specs than a PC, I'd say the game should run OK, but not as well as on a high-end PC.

it may not get too much attention like halo 2 did, if it doesn't has multiplayer.

There's no reason why it shouldn't have multiplayer. Multiplayer adds so much to a game these days, it's normally a deciding factor for me when I buy or rent a game.
