Site Exerpt:
In 1997, two California men were convicted of over fifty counts of sexual assault for drugging women with GHB at ‘Raves Parties’ and nightclubs over a two-year period. Many of the victims were unaware they had been assaulted until they identified themselves in photographs that had been seized by law enforcement officials.

1.Don't accept open drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
from others who you do not know or do not trust; this includes drinks that come in a glass.
2.When in bars or clubs always get your drink directly from the
bartender and do not take your eyes off the bartender
or your order; don't use the waitress or let somebody go to the bar for you.
3.At parties, only accept drinks in close containers: bottles, cans or tetra packs.
4.Never leave your drink unattended or turn your back on
your table.
5.Do not drink from open beverage sources like punch
bowls, pitchers or tubs.
6.Keep your eyes and ears open; if there is talk of date
rape drugs or if friends seem "too intoxicated" for what
they have taken, leave the party or club immediately and don't go back!

Jeanette, I just saw something like that on the news.
Since Mardi Gras just happened a short while ago, they were warning EVERYONE about that, because of course people from all over the country come here for Mardi Gras and it's basically a weeklong orgy of alcohol and Girls Gone Wild :rolleyes
They were showing stuff on the news about methods you can use to protect yourself, etc. But I truly believe that any man that has to resort to drugs and rape is not a man at all.
Makes me really lose faith in humanity. Or at least my gender.

My sentiments exactly. Real men don't rape.

None of those "men" deserve the right to call themselves men.
Maybe I should claim "Separatist Movement" because I'm tired of assholes like that setting a bad stereotype of the gender as a whole (which now that I've started seeing a LOT more girls say all men are shit, would make sense :lol)

So really we should start kicking people out rather than leaving ourselves.

Belive it or not, its not just guys who are useing G, or K, or 'roofies' to drug people up and have sex with them. Woman have also been doing it, but because of the sterotype that woman are often weaker then men it doenst get as much publicity. I hapen to know many 7 feet 250 pound woman who wanna see something 'funny'.
People have been doing this for years. Most guys do it so they dont have to deal with the embarassment of rejection. obviously she cant say no if shes not awake and able too. The problem is not only are they causeing alot of mental anguish in the morning, but if they dont measure right and use too much then that person can die, especially from GHB. So, just remember you might wake up next to the rest of your life in prison.

I'm sure it's also because they're a really small minority. I mean, I don't know specifics about date rape drugs, but I know that guys are the victims of very few rapes in general.

I did a vial of GHB once because I was bored. I thought it was the most boring high I had ever purchased. Then I had a beer... :hypno
The next thing I remember was waking up the next day giving my friend sinister looks until he felt uncomfortable and left.

Kinda off topic but... did you know that almost half of all domestic violence is commited by the females, and i'm not talking about retaliation. Even in the most respected studys, such as the one that came up with the statistic that "a woman is abused by her husband every insert some number hear seconds" (I forget the exact number, but i'm sure some of you have heard it) found that female to male domestic violence is just as common as male to female. It also found that women are much more likely to use a deadly weapon.
I read about it in a book of compiled articles called "everything you know is wrong" if you want to check it out.

That's actually true. Men are just very unlikely to report domestic abuse. It's not macho if you say you were beat up by your wife. :P
