I've been playing a good amount of horror games lately, and I would like some reccommendations plz k thx.

I've played:

Silent Hill 1: classic game, and I was finally able to buy a working copy of it :posh

Silent Hill 2: <3

SH3: It was okay, but it could've been much better. :(

SH4: Once again, it was okay, but it could've been better, and unlike the others, I think I'll eat a shit casserole before I play through this one again.

Resident Evil 1: I didn't play the original PSX version but I own the GC remake and I've played through it twice already.

RE4: I love this game, too, but it wasn't particularly scary. Fun as hell, but not scary.

Fatal Frame 2: It was a little creepy, I guess. But overall insanely boring. I mean, a camera?!

Siren: Piece of shit game. Aside from being ridiculously hard and having awful voice actors, this game had one of the most retarded concepts I've ever seen. I mean, Sightjacking? What the hell is that?

Eternal Darkness is a pretty good choice. Not nearly as scary as SH2, but the game had a few parts that made me jump.

Then there“s Haunting Ground for PS2. havent tried it myself, but I hear its quite creepy at times.

Realms of haunting is a game that almost made me soil myself when I was in like 5th grade or something. Dunno what it would be like today.

the rest of the RE series (except Zero) are all excellent

I had forgotten about Zero. :( I played that one, too. It was okay. Wayyy too easy, though. And the story didn't seem to make any fucking sense at all when you look at the rest of the RE series.

The Aliens mod for... Quake or Doom, I forget which, was pretty darn creepy.

Siren: Piece of shit game
Yeah, Sirens was the biggest piece of shit I've ever played, there is nothing redeeming about that shitty ass game.

I heard from someone that the original fatal frame was better than the second one but i've never played it so i'm not sure.

If you haven't played it yet you should try The Suffering, its pretty scary and the gamplay is actually fun.

I'm going to agree with James on this one, go with Clock Tower. The original is a pretty great game, and I admit, after being chased by a guy with huge scissors and hiding under the bed only to have him stab me through the mattress was pretty freaky.

The last 'horror' game i played was cold fear... it kind of sucks, about 1 bit made me jump in the time i played it but i guess its not such a bad game.

RE 2 is another classic...Also, check out Code Veronica.

Still, nothing beats SH2 :(

of course, none of these really compare to The Suffering ;<

Fatal frame 1 it wasnt all that scary but damn does it have a cool story line and some pretty good gameplay. First time i rented it I played it for 5 hours straight and almost beat it. Not very long but it is alot better then the 2nd fatal frame

Eternal Darkness is probably my favorite.

Silent Hill 3 comes in a close second, with Silent Hill 2 trailing. See, SH2 pissed me off a lot--the story was incredible, but I hated the gameplay. SH3 was more rounded in that aspect, I think.

Though, Fatal Frame 2 is the only game I literally had to stop playing. I had my headphones on and I heard pretty much everything, and I had to quit the game because I was too freaked out. :(

I never played it after that, but that was because I hated the game when it wasn't being scary and it was being boring. So I don't know if that's good or bad.

idk if it counts but system shock 2 has easily got some of the creepiest monsters ever in it

As far as entertainment, I would definitely say RE2 is a giant among children in horror. But if we are going for being scared, nothing has given me the creeps more than the silent hill series.
