I've recently gotten into reading books but i'm not sure what good books there are to read. I generally try to stay away from fantasy books unless there really good and I don't really like romance novels, other than that I'll read just about anything. I've actually been looking for a good horror novel which is suprisingly hard to find, if anyone can thing of one that would be sweet.

I'm reading "Coming of Age in the Milky Way" by Timothy Ferris right now, and I love it. It's good if you're into popular science and the history of astronomy.

i'm not sure if they can be classified as horror novels, but the silence of the lambs and the red dragon both creeped me out in a major way.

Chuck Palahniuk, please.
Start with Survivor or Choke. And read Fight Club even though you've already seen the movie. Read all of these books twice.

It's going to be two pages long, the pages will be stuck together, and the cover illustration will be lovingly rendered on the back of an Olive Garden Kids Menu with a knubby red crayon.

It was a good movie, but the book is superior by far. Also, there are a few things in the movie you wouldn't get unless you read the book. Still, on it's own merits, the movie is an incredible movie, and one of the few movies where Keanu Reeves could be said to be "acting".

I want you guys to remember when this thread was started. I don't think that they need more book recommendations. If they did, they would probably have made a new thread in the past, oh, 2 years.

Dont lose hope. Im sure some of them can be saved. Myself not included I'm pretty hopeless myself. Although Im pretty surprised people kept posting recommendations after you informed them the futility of it.
