The PS3 can stand vertically or horizontally.

The controller design, I'm not sold on. Mostly because the PSX/PS2 controller was sex in my hand. But it does look like it's mostly cosmetic changes, and it will still fit into your hand the same way the PS2 one did. We'll see, though.

Regardless, I am very sexually aroused by everything I've seen and read about the PS3's unveiling today.

the font reminds me of spiderman 2. but i agree about the controller, would slip easily. but i don't understand how that ps3 is so fucking huge when the new ps2's are about the size of a vhs tape (but thinner). i mean, i know the ps3 is apparently better than the ps3, but i don't think it requires so much space.

but then again, as much as we know, that thing could be only a foot tall and the controller really small. :tongue

Yes they will. Notice how there are no controller ports on that thing, as the new controllers are wireless. No dual-shock for you!

Also, if you direct your attention to Gamespot, they have a few videos and screenshots of various games and tech demos. The majority (if not all), are rendered in real time, meaning this is technically what actual gameplay will look like on the PS3. It is worth mentioning that games MIGHT not look this good right away though (memory and data space will be used up by actual gameplay mechanics, so not as much room or time to refine the graphics that much).

Just look at how the PS2 games looked at launch, and how they look now. RE4, Shadow of the Colossus, and God of War are prime examples of showing how the graphical limits of the PS2 aren't easily reached. So while the PS3 launch games MAY not look as good as these demos let on, they will eventually.

Also, Final Fantasy 7 fans, there is a tech demo of FF7's FMV intro on the PS3. Except it's been completely redone with the graphic style of Advent Children, and it's rendered in real-time.

I learned my lesson by buying an Xbox over PS2. I got Halo and JSRF ( :love :love :love) but I missed Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Katamari, Onimusha, Metal Gear, Ace Combat, Virtua Fighter 4... the list just keeps going. I'm also gonna miss Soul Calibur 3, and many more.

I have a feeling I'll buy a PS3 to play the PS2 games and all the other good games I know they'll get.
