http://www.konami.jp/gs/kojima_pro/english/004.html

The site has some very small infromation on the game being made, with little in the way of story. But on the site are drawings of a few characters. Vamp, Meryl, Raiden (with baby), Ocelot, Snake, Otacon, Big Boss, and Olga.

Also, MGS3:S has been announced.

Now, most of you know I hate remakes/rereleases. However, I like remakes/rereleases that offer LOTS of additional content. It's why I was happy to have Sons of Liberty and Substance, and will gladly buy this game even though I haven't even played my copy of MGS3 yet.

-Includes the original 2 Metal Gear games. MG1 will be the Japanese version translated properly and uncut, and MG2 was released on the MSX only in Japan, until now.
-Optional 3rd-person view camera, allowing for a newer perspective.
-Online play. Co-op or versus, various modes for each.
-New single player game modes, and new features only seen before in the European MGS3.
-New camo sets, new easter eggs/quirks, and possibly more.

did anyone see it? Hideo is directing MGS4 after all!

Kojima isn't directing, perse. He's overseeing the project, and giving input. He's not creating the game like he's done with the past three; It's a more passive role, like a consultant.

Edit: My mistake. Kojima IS involved very much.

Substance and Twin Snakes were worth the purchases. I imagine this will be too.

I'm excited for Subsistence. Mainly for the multiplay and 3rd person view. MGS3 is my favorite out of the series.
