It seems that the latest brainstorm of Uwe Boll is to make a movie based on a game called...POSTAL!
He has already made a script, so its likely that he will make this sick and fucking idiotic idea of his a reality. God help us.

It seems that this nightmare has turned out to be a hoax. Thank god.

I think the rumor started from some guy who came home from catching House of the Dead on opening night for full price tried to relax by playing a mean game of Postal 2 and thought the way Uwe Boll should exit this life is to pissed on, lit afire, and then kicked/shot out.

Which would make an awesome short.

As long as this thread is back, listen to this.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=213168

Jason Statham ("Cellular") is Farmer, our hero. Ron Perlman ("Hellboy") plays Norick, an old friend of Farmer's and his stalwart companion. Matthew Lillard ("Without a Paddle") plays Duke Fallow, the nephew of King Konreid, who is played by Burt Reynolds ("The Longest Yard").

John Rhys-Davies ("Raiders of the Lost Ark") is Merrick the Magus, the court sorcerer. Leelee Sobieski ("The Glass House") is Muriella, Merrick's daughter, and Kristanna Loken ("Terminator 3") is Elora, an enchanted tree-like creature whose support proves critical to Farmer.

...HOW? HOW THE FUCK DO YOU GET MOTHINGFUCKING JOHN RHYS-DAVIES TO GO FROM BEING MOTHERFUCKING GIMLI TO WORKING FOR UWE BOLL?

I really, REALLY, want someone to murder Uwe Boll. I mean this. I want someone to murder him, and then I want an official "Piss on Uwe's Grave" day.

-Boll has a $60 million budget for this movie.
-"Boll said "Dungeon Siege" will transcend the video game genre and appeal to mainstream audiences. He added that the film's blend of action and fantasy should appeal to fans of "The Lord of the Rings." A three-hour running time is envisioned.""

I don't get it, didnt house of the dead and alone in the dark do horrible in theathers?
why would someone give him $60 million?
I just don't get it.

He gets money from private German investors. On top of which, there is apparently a very real loophole in German tax law, that essentially means that the worse a movie does, the more Uwe Boll can make from it.

I'm afraid to even think what Far Cry will be like.

Good article, James, though it doesn't say anything to support your summary of it.

I thought the reason he gets to keep making movies is because he spends so little on them, and so even when they tank, the investors don't suffer a huge loss.

Maybe my summary is wrong then. There are different links describing different things. But that article explains how the loophole works.
