You mean we opened fire at the start of an armed conflict? Yes, that is so evil.
I normally don't resort to this but.........

I am grateful that Saddam will be removed. This end does not justifty the means being utilized to achieve it, but it is the one positive I can see. Since there is no longer any hope of avoiding armed conflict, I can only hope now to be proven wrong. I can only hope that once the war is over, Iraq will have a stable, democratic government that protects basic human rights. I can only hope that the United States will make the necessary investment to rebuild Iraq. Precedent, however, leads me to believe this will not happen. There will be no Marshall Plan for Iraq. The stated goals of this war will prove to be nothing but cover for the true aims: more wealth for the wealthy and American dominance. A new generation will learn to hate America in the aftermath of this war. I hope beyond hope that I'm wrong.

Doopa,
Perhaps you misunderstood. I'm simply saying that the wheels have been set in motion long ago. It doesn't strike me as all that startling that it has begun.
Kevin,
No you don't understand. It HASN'T begun. I promise you. That was a warning shot. The REAL start is yet to come.

:(
Now that it has begun, please hope that the soldiers do their jobs well and get home safe. I've got a cousin on ground on the frontlines with one of the infantry divisions.
Damn Bush, Saddam and their cronies for the inevitable ruination their decisions will cause.

Carnivore: I think your president's administration will prove to be a bigger problem for the world than Saddam ever was for his country, in the long run.

Hopefully this war will be quick, swift and a overwhelming victory for the troops of the various countries that are helping us out.
When people that REALLY live under the bootheel of opression are able to breath their first breath of freedom, then the ones who want to see Saddam disarmed and in a ditch will know they are on the side of real human rights and equality. I just pray that it turns out to be good for all on the side of right.
...For those who think that we are in the wrong.. if in fact this war goes well, I do hope that they see that war is not the most wanted answer, but sometimes, sometimes... its the BEST answer.
