man, this program is fucking gay. It organizes things in the dumbest manner, and it doesn't even have a "remove missing files" command. The easier ID3 tagger is nice, but shit, everything else about this program sucks anus holes.

Just for the record.

Some of my friends swear by this piece of shit. It's terrible.

I don't mind it myself, but it isn't the best mp3 player out there and there are some things with it that still bug me a lot.

I miss Soundjam. :(

so what IS the best mp3 player? i imagine it's a bit of a coke vs. pepsi thing - some folks like one better than another just based on familiarity or whatever. but i'd like to knw what other people are using.

i use an old-ass version of winamp (like 3 or something) because it wasn't bloated back then, but it doesn't play M4As :(

i won't touch realplayer or itunes, as they're bloated as fuck. any recommendations?

maybe foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/)

but for some reason it doesn't work on my computer so i have to use winamp lite :(

I find Foobar2K to be far superior to all.

Never had the privlage of using I-tunes

I agree. iTunes sucks, especially for Windows. The best mp3 player is definitely amaroK (http://amarok.kde.org/). None of you use Linux though, so my second choice is Winamp 2.5.

Winamp works great for me. One perk is that it does not organize the files in my selected music folder according to CDDB even without me requesting >:O

I like iTunes, but I have a Mac and an iPod so it makes the most sense for me to use. When I had a Windows I first used Real Player (the worst), then WMP and then WinAmp. Sometimes I miss some of the features of WinAmp like queues, vizualizers and skins, but I personaly like how things are organized in iTunes and I like how the playlists are set up.

I like iTunes, personally. I guess it is personal taste, though.

I've been using Winamp for too long to switch. I've taught it to behave and I have a 71 gigs music database. Right now everything's neat and named and all that so cool.

i only use itunes because i can use it with my ipod. if it werent for that, i'd go back to winamp in a heartbeat

Rongi, try out ml_iPod (http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=138888). Worked for me.

I fucking hate the fact that you can't even OPEN iTunes without the piece of shit changing file associations. I'm sure there's a box you can check way in the middle of a meny to stop it, but the whole thing is Real Player behaviour, and I have no interest in using iTunes ever again.
