Much better than The Two Towers. All the characters feel just a little more different this time around, with advantages and disadvantages (rather than JUST disadvantages; Gimli I'm looking at you).
The game is still pretty hard at times, but it's nowhere near as bad as TTT. The cheapshots aren't as common, and you seem to do more damage this time around. In other words, you're not getting knocked down and kept down. And the boss battles are pretty tough.
In TTT, I had to resort to cheating to beat the game. So far, I've only had to turn the difficulty down for Gandalf's last mission, so I feel pretty good about that. I finished Gandalf and Sam's paths, so I just need to finish Aragorn/Gimli/Legolas' path, which I have 3 more levels for.
