I saw this PC game on the shelves around 1996, but I never quite got the name of it. The title might have started "The Island of __", but I can't be too sure of that.
It was a first person shooter. It had you going to take out some mad scientist and all of his experiments. I think the mad scientist had his own island the game took place on.
All I remember about the game is was that it was trying to be funny. It had robots with toasters for heads, and there was a warning sign that said "This area my cause mild mutations" (the sign has a silhouette of a human with a tail )
I'm not making any of this up. Does anybody know the game?

No idea, but a quick search at GameFAQs shows me "The Island of Dr. Brain" circa 1992. Is that it?

Sorry, Dr. Brain isn't it. I forgot to mention that the game is not educational, and it's not aimed at kids. I'm sure it got a "M" rating, or maybe a "T."
But then again, most first person shooters do get M's or T's.

Was it a game made out of the movie "The Island of Dr. Moreau"?
The movie came out in 1996.

Fortress of Dr. Radiaki.
Though, if you're thinking about playing it, I'd advise the budget version, consisting of huffing paint fumes then bringing up goatse.
At least if you die from the fumes, people only find goatse on your computer, as opposed to the aforementioned game.

In the words of Michelle Tanner:
"You got it dude!"
Fortress of Dr. Radiaki is what I was looking for. Now that I've heard it sucks I'm even more interested in it.
Was it funny in any way?

I remember playing the shareware version. It was terrible.
If you are all wet for old 3d shooters, try Blood or Shadow Warrior.
