New style I'm trying out

after looking at a pretty nify tutorial on deviantart (the link was sent to me by ms. glowbelly), i decided to try out the style.

the only thing i used the photo for was reference and an original base sketch. everything is done by hand. photoshop CS -no plugins or special brushes

very nicely done. I don't think the ear looks too flat, but I would like to see some work where your hair isn't covering such a large part of your face ;<

I am very impressed. I especially like the lighting effects, particularly the reflections on the lips and the earrings. Very nicely done. Now I want photoshop :(
