...but this is a Rap vote... and I have to say I was more impressed with Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince's Rap... it was more personal... and I have to say the Fat Boys cheated! They had Freddy rapping with them! (and that's just not fair 'cause 1. we all know Freddy the best at bustin' a rhyme and 2. the Fat Boys probably stole Freddy's lyrics anyway)

I think time speaks for itself... The Fresh Prince has gone on to become (without a doubt) the greatest actor of ALL TIME... and Jazzy Jeff went on to... wait... Freddy killed him (that's why I haven't heard much about him recently) :(

"Nightmare on My Street" is the best Freddy song, period. I'm not much into rock, so Dokken is out...though even they are better than the Fat Boyz.

Imagine, being...I don't know...real little...and it's raining outside, and your power goes out. But you have a cassette and a player. Inside the tape player we got, "Nightmare on My Street" by DJ Jazzy Leff and the Fresh Prince playing.

This song is scarier. Atleast when you were little. I use to love this song, but was scared to death to listen to it alone.

obviously the Fat Boys, although Ive listened to all 3 versions of both songs, The Fat Boys actually had Robert Englund drop his vocals on the track, AND they had the video for it too, which I have in my personal collection of rare videos! and rog, I was wondering, do u actually have those vinyls? that are featured in the picture, I was wondering if u could post the tracks listed.

Even though the fatboys had a music video to go with the song I stillI pick the fresh prince version. As far as i know they did not have a music video but if you listened to the song it really helped you imagine what it would be like and I think it still would be better

JJ and the Prince won my vote. You can't get over the beat and the music from the movie. Fat boys had the good freddy rap and the video but the fresh prince had the music and the lyrics that stick. Plus I have to agree with the comment on the female vocals for the fat boys... they really blew.

This must be the urban legend of videos. My cousin and I swear we can remember watching it back when the song came out, but it's impossible to find anywhere. It was supposedly directed by Scott Kalvert, the guy who did Basketball Diaries. Anyway, I had to vote for Jazz and FP, since their version evokes fond memories of Hordak's slime pit and Garbage Pail kids.
