Recovered from the bowels of my paternal grandpa's vacation home, I dusted off my old Sega Genesis and looked at my childhood-in-a-box:

plus some other crap I don't remember.

So I popped in Sonic & Knuckles connected with Sonic 3 for DUAL STACKAGE ACTION :D thinking "Oh this won't take too long to beat it's probably much easier than I remember." I finally reach the last boss with a couple lives left, but the events that unfolded soon had me bellowing "FUCK this shit". Every time you hit a boss, they turn invincible for about a second, which sometimes means you would just go right through them. So, tails decides to hit this friggin boss right before I land on him, so I fall through and die. Thanks, tails. You're a real pal :tear

So now I'm playing TJ&E goin' "aw yeah I'm going to pimp it up with these two hip aliens from 1991 and nobody is going to stop me"
After making them rap (early 90s style of course) I started the main part of the game. Little did I remember that the fastest these rad aliens will go is at a leisurely stroll, so I got pitchforked by guys in devil costumes and died :tear

I plug in Paperboy and put it on hard cuz it's a challenge I think I can do. WRONG. I'm being chased by bees and vandalizing the wrong houses and crashing into breakdancers and being eaten by poodles. :tear

I think I'll wait until I meet up with my roommate again so we could play zombie football and zombie hockey but really I wanna know if there are any other games that are pretty good for Genesis.

Get the Streets of Rage series, and Mickey Mouse's World of Illusion.

Make sure you get WORLD and not CASTLE. World is an awesome two-player game involving Mickey and Donald, and Castle is a shitty single-player game with nothing redeeming.

Thank you. That was one of the other games I was trying to remember to add to that list...there's a bunch that I played for genesis as a kid and still love but it's hard to remember em all sometimes.

But yeah, Comix Zone kicks ass.

Comix Zone was a game I always wanted to rent before I got to Blockbuster, but then when I actually got there I didn't feel like trying it, so I rented Toejam and Earl for the umpteenth time.

I downloaded the rom and it's cool I should have rented it. :(

Yes, flashback is excellent. It was pretty hard, though. Is black thorne for genesis? I remember playing it on PC and its very similar to Flashback. Only cooler.
And I used to love Alien3 on Genesis, but i'll bet i wouldn't like it if I played it now.

Alien3 for genesis is another one I really liked...I dunno, it totally didn't connect to the movie at all but it was good.
