Check out this wak shit, Star Wars fans.
I may have mentioned to some of you, my employers, the Museum of Science in Boston are doing a "Science of Star Wars" exhibit that will open here, tour the country and then the world. We created it, with Lucasfilm providing material, consultation and support, but doing a lovely job of staying out of the way otherwise.
One component of the exhibit is a Planetarium show narrated by Anythony (C3PO) Daniels. Several people (including Anthony) were unhappy with the script they'd commissioned from one of the writers at "Sky and Telesciope". Not the concept, but the way it read. So at the 11'th hour I got called in to try and script doctor the material, which I did.
Todays news is that I'm going to get a co-credit with the author, because they feel I did as much with it as he did. I had expected an 'additional material by' credit at the most, and would not have been surprised at all if I got nothing.
A nice resume builder and a fan boy wet dream come true. I hope I don't wet myself when I get my photo with Anthony Daniels.

Sounds great, Max. Maybe you could bring copies of the script around to Star Wars conventions and charge for autographed copies.
You should bilk these fanboys for all their worth. :)

Maybe they should have brought you in to doctor the last three Star Wars scripts. :(
Congratulations, Max.

Hey Max, you know what I think?
I think this is great. It's a great opportunity for you to expand upon, y'know?
Also, you can kidnap Anthony Daniels and sell him on Ebay or something.

Yeah, this is the Thang going to Cosi, but no guarantee they'll rent the Planetarium show part of it. If tey do, though, WHOOOO BOY, that's where the fame part kicks in.
And if there's any fan boy out there so emeshed they'd want a fuckin' Planetarium script, it's ten bucks and it comes with a kick in the balls from me.

Have you kidnapped C3PO yet, Max?
Golden opportunity, man. Don't let it slip!

He's not here yet, he won't be around again until mid October shortly before the exhibit opens. Do you think I'd gain international fame if I pulled a Dog Day Afternoon style insane public crime but with an abduction instead of a bank robbery? maybe I mean a King of Comedy style crime. 'Cause that was an abduction.

Max, I'd make positively sure to ask him about a sequal Star Wars Christmas album. That was a golden record of melodic sounds that can only be described as "I want more"

Several of the Star Wars exhibit team screened a bootleg copy of the tar wars Holiday Special with Art carney, Bea Arthur, Harvey Corman and Jefferson Airplane. We have been instructed not to mention this to anyone officially associated with Lucas Films.
Apparently, this licensced TV special so horrifed Lucas, it inspired the failry rigid control he has excorcised over content ever since. Not that it seems to have done much good in the end.
I think there nees to be a Jar Jar Holiday Special.

I agree. Ask them if we can get in touch with whomever does the voice of Jar Jar because I wanna write the music for this splendid project. I feel that with our powers combined, we are CAPTAIN TERRIBLE HOLIDAY ALBUM PEOPLE!!!!!
