Over at SA, a lot of folks have AD avatars. After nearly a year of seeing a claw-handed man screaming "I'M A MONSTER!" I finally asked where all these were from.

Arround the same time, Fox was showing 2-hour blocks of the show. I caught half of Season 2, and now I'm watching Season 3.

I bought Season 1 on DVD just last week. I've been watching it with the parents, and they love it as much as I do. We're all anxiously awaiting October 11th, when Season 2 should be out on DVD.

Also, avatar.

Yeah I think there should be a very physical campaign to make people watch this show because not enough people are.

i can't tell you how happy i was to find something on tv that was good and that didn't require that i get cable.

if this show gets cancelled, i'll be pissed.

i have season 1 on dvd and i can't wait for season 2. i missed a lot of season 2 cause i was all knocked up and going to bed at strange times.

but that's not the point!

the point is more people need to watch it...or else it's gonna go bye bye and that will make me sad :(

I used to have an AD avatar at SA until FYAD changed it for me. >:

That makes me and glowbelly coolest, i stand corrected :o

I will cry when this gets cancelled, cuz it won't even go to rerun hell, which is full of Mencia at the moment :(

I used to have an AD avatar at SA until FYAD changed it for me. >:

This is why we don't go into FYAD.

Although I suspect that's how I got my "I'm gay for Wesley Willis" title. Which is thought was really fucking hilarious.

One of my favorite things about AD is all the little things you catch on second and third viewings. You know the pilot, where GOB gives George Michael a Monopoly game with missing pieces? The second time I watched that episode, I saw George Michael was packing up THREE copies of Monopoly. I fell over laughing.

Yeah, i miss a lot of stuff too. I missed Tony Wonder hiding in the dumbwaiter when i first saw that episode :O

I watched the show for most of the first season, now i work too late. While I thought it was funny and enjoyed watching it I dont think I quite liked it as much as you people. I guess I should give it another chance and watch my first season dvd and type to download the rest.

James

Just buy Season 2 when it comes out on the 11th. AD needs your money. :(

i friggin love lindsay's chicken impression.

and i love that she's a lesbian (irl durr).

and any show that ends with david cross kissing the fonz just plain rocks.

James

Sure, Portia de Rossi being a lesbian works for YOU, but... :(

It just seems like such a waste. Beautiful women shouldn't be anti-penis.

I've been watching it since the start too, and I really think the last season is genius. They're pushing it way farther than they did in the other seasons, and it may end up being the best one.

My English teacher is the only other person I know that watches it; I'll be buying alot of season one sets for Christmas presents this year.

The season 3 premiere was one of the best episodes of the series. It breaks my heart that this show stands such a poor chance of getting even halfway through this season, while Will & Grace is entering it's 8th.

Even if I can't watch the episodes I leave the TV on; just in my misinformed theory of how the ratings system works... :(

i was watching the season 2 dvd last night and this line from tobias cracked me up:

i'll be your wingman. even if it means me taking a chubby, i will suck it up!

it amazes me that they get away with this stuff during primetime on network tv.

All people who agree Fox just cancelled it's only good show, and now sucks the most......well,I'm pretty sure everybody knows that.

:(

glowbelly
Feb 11th, 2006, 12:57 PM
yes, it was their best show, BUT, it's not entirely fox's fault. they gave it 3 seasons and it never got good ratings. i know, i know, they didn't advertise it that much and they moved it around a lot, but still. three years is a long time.

last night's episodes were wonderful and if that's the last of ad, then i'm happy with the way it ended.

Juttin
Feb 11th, 2006, 01:18 PM
It got great ratings

It even won 12 emmy's

Last night's episodes were funny, like Mock Trial with Judge Reinhold

Anyways, there's going to be an epilogue episode,I think

glowbelly
Feb 11th, 2006, 06:12 PM
i think you're mixing the word "ratings" with the word "reviews."

it got awful ratings and terrific reviews.

get it straight, you fucking turd.

and :lol at epilogue episode. you're silly.

ScruU2wice
Feb 12th, 2006, 01:11 AM
yeah those four episodes were pretty good closure. I don't know if they were serious about a movie, but I don't think it would be a great idea.

I think that the series is complete and just about every episode was downright hilarious. Plus it ended coherently even if it got cancelled.

James
Feb 12th, 2006, 03:25 AM
The "Maybe a movie" thing was a play on how the show started. Hurwitz pitched the idea of a movie to Howard, and Ron suggested it might work as a TV show.

The show gave me enough closure, that I'm not going to be upset if the show is officially over. Hurwitz is talented as all hell to pull that off, because I thought I'd never get over the death of this show.

However, I would NOT say no if the show returned. It's all up to Hurwitz to decide if he wants to do it. My only concern is if the show doesn't make it past a 5th season, and we DON'T get the same closure we just got, and THEN I end up being upset.

Juttin
Feb 12th, 2006, 06:10 AM
Well...it said "On the Epilogue of Arrested Development"

And,that scene was probably there for backup,if they revive it.

They won't,though.

I guess all we can do now is quote it......

"I'm half-machine.....I'M A MONSTER!!!!"

:sadness :(

glowbelly
Feb 12th, 2006, 10:01 AM
i'm going to suggest you look up the word "epilogue."

and no, don't start quoting it. please? you'll make me hate it :(

Also thought the last 4 episodes were great. I'm starting to wondering if any new shows these days will last 10+ seasons like shows could do 10 years ago. Seems like all new shows are cancelled after just a few seasons.
Didn't they mentioned anything about a movie in the end of AD?

you lie.

update: i previously didn't care about this show and whether it lived or not. i respected it, but despite being funny, i never laughed at it. irate, my girlfriend bought the dvd bespite the lack of funds because this obscene balldropping on my part was apparently intolerable.
anyway, i found it hilarious for some reason.

i now retract my indiffrernce and join all of you sheep in immensely enjoying this show.

so again rog, you lie. because now i care.

and by "you lie" i mean "please please prove to me that it's true."
