View Full Version : Favorite Friday the 13th movie

This time I'll try not to call hidden phallic imagery an imperissive feat of celluloid. For me the 7th Friday the 13th has always been my favorite in the series. It always seemed like Jason could pull weapons out of thin air but in the seventh one it was ridiculous, one second his thrusting a long, hard machete into a confused juvenille and then the next second his straddling the professor with a weedwacker, now that's what I call a homocide.

That was always one of my favorite too because of the psychic girl... finally a character who could actually stand up and fight Jason rather than constantly running away from him.
I also loved part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan... absolutely hilarious movie. In case you haven't seen it, here's my review:

Was 6 the one with the nerds that paintball Jason? I think it also featured a scene where Jason entered a cabin of little eight year old children who were praying, and he was all "aw" and decided not to kill them. If it is, then I nominate that one.

i liked the book better :rolleyes
but seriously, i dug the first movie just cuz of the way Kevin Bacon dies and the scene at the end where Vorheese gets her head cut off.

I never understood why people didn't like Jason X, I mean it's been awhile since I've actually seen it but from what I remember it wasn't bad. So what if they turned him into a robot at the end of the movie, no way it was worse than the third or fifth one.

It's watchable but you have to admit it's pretty whack

It's funny as hell. Well, they all are actually. I can't choose a favorite. Freddy VS Jason has a special place in my heart.

I don't know, like I said it's been a while but I remember it being a fun movie, I guess I'll have to watch it again. I don't really hold Jason to the insane god like cult status some people do which is probably were the difference of opinion comes from, when he turned into a robot I thought it was silly while some of my friends found it sacrileges.

What? Part 3 kicked ass. It's different than the rest in the series but it's the part where Jason started to be pretty much unkillable. Plus, he gets his mask and that scene where he kills the kid walking on his hands is awesome.
My favorite is part 6 though.

Yeah, fuck I hated that kid. He needed to be killed off and it was pretty funny but seemed so out of the blue and stupid.
