This is the gayest thing that's happened to the world since 9/11.

i think i was one of those people who should be watching it but still aren't for confusing reasons.
when i watch it, i feel like i should like it. the plot summaries and events that happen throughout seasons seem hilarious to me, but when i actually sit down to watch it, i feel absolutely nothing
.i think it's maybe because i could never care about any of them, and that they aren't characters so much as vehicles for written jokes they have no personality outside of.
but since that's how much of comedy television is done, maybe it's that television isn't really that funny and is mostly terribly embarassing except for shows like this which manage to be kinda funny.

I saw this coming a mile away and it's still infuriating. Prison Break can suck my fucking nuts.

Arrested Development is difficult to get into because of the huge amount of in-jokes, references to previous episodes and freeze frame jokes that make up the real bulk of the show, because it's only 20 minutes to make room for more ads, and because Fox has no fucking clue how to schedule anything.
It's an expensive show to make, so the chances of even HBO picking it up are slim to none, but I haven't seen a show with a fanbase that feels so strongly about it since MST3k.
Honestly though,I thought that these Charlize Theron episodes have been the weakest of the series, so that hasn't helped matters much.

Really? I loved them. Besides the fact that she was wicked cute, it got pretty silly pretty fast, and that's one of my favorite things about the show :O

Well, it's pretty easy for them to be the weakest of the series because Arrested Development has set such a high standard for itself. I've loved them too, I just think that the execution of Charlize's secret wasn't as subtle and effective as I've come to expect, and five episodes is slight overkill.
For what it's worth, I got tired of the Marta storyline in season 1 fairly quickly too.

i thought the last 2 episodes were brilliant. especially the whole mole/jetpack/tiny town story.
and i'm convinced that there's something else going on with rita. there's no way it's as simple as what they have been making it out to be. the show has never been that transparent.
unfortunately, we might have to wait until season 3 comes out on dvd to find out >:

While the opening statement of this petition gives me a headache, it's worth signing anyway I guess.
