got this yesterday, its pretty cool, good old fashioned management sim, with heafty doses of the sims injected

went into sandbox and made me a movie

its annoying how the game puts 'crap-o-vision' on movies depending on the era it was made, but oh well.

(and yes i understand that my first movie is terrible :P)

Whoa, thats actually really cool

how exactly did you make that? Could you go into more detail about the game?

the game involves building and managing a movie studio, from the 1920s onwards, you hire actors, directors, crew, writers, etc. you send people to write scripts from a varity of genres, reherse them, and then see them getting shot. a better cast+crew = a better movie, and better cash. you can also go into advanced movie maker and make your own from scratch, choosing sets, props, costumes and actions.

then its just a case of exporting the finsihed movie, uploading it and linking it on a forum :P

The only thing I cannot stand about this game is the managing. It's not that it's hard, it's just time consuming and most of my money goes to hoopdydoo training actors. And no spellchecker. :(

Yeah, the micromanagement is simply staggering. You have to click around ike a motherfucker just to keep your studio on the rails. Have you tried getting an actor up to five stars and reach the final goal? It entails having them socialize, shooting movies, promoting movies, being followed by the press, having their every whim granted... all at the same time. the process takes half an hour, and if you fuck anything up and you fall one point short, you have to start the whole process over again. And at the same time, you have to manage your studio and make sure the toilets don't break down.

I was going to share Johnny Cage's blockbuster smash "I HATE SPACE" with you all, but you have lionhead to curse for this now.
