i was wondering about wheather it matters if I'v played other dragon quest games before? becuase I havn't.
Is the story kinda like final fantasy where each game has its own story, or will i be lost?

I'm guessing that it is its own story, but i thought i would ask. Its been a long ass time since iv played a rpg, mostly because you have to invest so much time into it, which i dont have much of.

I was also wondering about the combat system, every thing i read says its the same as the other dragon quest games, but since i havnt played one, it doesnt help me out.

it looked like real time in the tv ads.
i was also wondering if the ff12 demo came on the disk or if it was on its own disk, becuase iv had people tell me both.

Yes, the game works like Final Fantasy in the stories are always different, you dont need to of played any of the previous dragon quests to know whats going on.

The gameplay works like any other RPG, I dont know what real time means but Gamespot says its turned based and battles happen randomly.

The Final Fatasy demo comes on a seperate disc.

I looked in the back of a player's guide for this game and under every enemy it said something like "Sex Appeal Skill" and since all of the graphics are apparently done by the guy who does DBZ, I'll never be playing this game. >:

The combat is similar to the others in the series but you do get to see your characters actually attack.

It's very awesome.

To not play a game because of Akira is stupid. I assume you hate Chrono Trigger as well :rolleyes

It's one of the best RPGs around.

One of your characters has sex appeal, Jessica. Angelo also has a charisma skill but other than that the enemies other than a few don't have the same skill. It's like their ability to charm enemies, I haven't looked at the strategy guide cause that ruins the fun of the game but I assume that rating is based on their ability to not be charmed if it is appearing on every enemy.

86 hours to beat the damn thing and I think I have a extra 6-7hours on it after the fact. Only have the monster arena beat through B at this point though I might be able to challenge A now.

I like how they sponsored a episode of south park as well :)

afraid to go into the heavenly altar quite yet though after fighting the damn pesky random battles to get to the dragovian sanctuary. :(

and Akira went a little DBZ overboard with the Hero at 100 tension, made me laugh.
