sort of, darkthrone said they were NSBM a while ago but went back on it. presumably because they wanted people to 'focus on the music'.

Darkthrone changed from NSBM because the label refused to carry their records if they kept putting big old NSBM stickers and shit on them. One of the reasons i don't listen to them.

the biggest reason I don't listen to darkthrone is that they entirely blow
I think the nsbm-ness came from varg though, he wrote a lot of lyrics and such on transylvanian hunger didn't he?
