WASHINGTON - CNN - During her trip to Europe this week, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will tell allies the U.S. does not transport suspected terrorists around the globe to be tortured, the president's national security adviser said Sunday.
I guess the way this works is that we transport prisoners to other countries where torture is incidental. I guess it makes you wonder why we transport them to other countries at all intsead of interrogating them ourselves, if the torture part has nothing to do with it, but maybe... maybe... Our prisons are all full? Or they need to use up frequent flyer miles before they expire? Who knows, the main thing is we didn't explicity ask other countries to torture these guys. In writing.
