PSP Updates

I am getting a psp sometime next week and have been reading that different versions of system updates are better than others.

If anyone knows where to get these updates and which ones are best, it would be much appreciated.

you can upgrade any psp's firmwire to the newest one

which i wont do, i want to play full throttle on the go :P

i think you can get them from the sony's playstation page but i dont own a psp so im not sure

No he knows where to get them he just wants to know which one is best so he doesn't get something that's gay.

I'll give you an update: PSP sucks. Buy a DS.

if you want to play emulators and stuff, keep 1.0 or 1.2 but thats harder to find because the newest PSPs come installed with 2.0 and up.

2.0 is prolly what i have. Because it offers things like, transfering files over wifi, wallpaper, and a web browser which is awesome to have in a cafe with a hotspot. Play some GTA:LCS-check my email-play some ghost in the shell-go to I-mockery.net (c) -play some burnout.

yeah, it really depends on what you want. And i have even seen software on the net that allows you to downgrade but it makes the software skitchy.

Also what size card are you planing on getting? I have a 128 and im happy with it. Its good to have because certain games will use pictures and stuff from the card. Like THUG 2 you can actually load a picture of someones face and put it on your skater.

I aint planning to play with emulators on it and web browsing and checking e-mails from your psp sounds pretty cool. 2.0 and up sounds alot better. Thanx for the info.

i sold my DS to get my PSP because the DS didnt really have to many good games.

Now im sad.

if you have wifi in your house, it updates automatically.

You can get the updates via the PSP but if you want like the next updates like the japanese have, you need to go to the japanese site.
I got metal gear acid and GTA:LCS. What are the games you peoples like to play. also im all up for the DS mario kart thing im getting it this x-mas.

Sounds good. I'm getting GTA:LCS when I get my psp sometime next week (then Socom FTB) is there a friends list for online games? If so post em' and I'll play with ya's.

someone set up a mario kart thread after christmas so we can all exchange codes and organize races and such
