Is this the guy from Chappelle's Show? That is a great show. :(
Good to hear Season 3 is still happening. I'M RICK JAMES, BITCH! Hahaha, remember that? I hope they bring Rick James back for Season 3.

James, either that was the worst attempt at humor you've ever made, or you just suck.

Do you think this will affect Chappelle's Show? :(
Wait, nevermind. The guy I was thinking of is the guy who WROTE for Richard Pryor. That Mooney guy or something.
Pryor sucks. Couldn't even write his own material.

Shut the Fuck Up James and Show Richard Pryor some respect. He is the greatest comedian of all time and his cultural impact is felt even today. Without Richard, we wouldnt have Dave Chappelle or any of the comedians who came out in the 70's-present. So please, just please show the man the respect he deserves.

Dave Chappelle specifically said he wrote for Pryor. Why would Chappelle lie?
Without Richard, we wouldnt have Dave Chappelle.
How is this a good thing? That's like saying that without Hitler, we wouldn't have Neo-Nazis.
Except Richard Pryor isn't anything like Hitler. He hated white people, not Jews.
You know who else died today? 103 people, mostly kids, in a plane crash. But I guess they don't deserve our respect because they didn't tell jokes that used the word "******" 50 times. You people.

OH JAMES YOU ARE RIDICULOUS
I saw that thing about him on Comedy Central and he was really cool on that. I should see more of his stuff :(
Way to edit your post and make me look like a jerk :(

OK, let me just ask this.
Who here ACTUALLY cares he died? And who here is like "Oh man I recognize that name and I've heard other people say he was cool so I am sad?"
A lot of celebrity death threads show up, and I think I'm showing more respect by admitting it's no big deal, than pretending I was a fan or that this upsets me in any way.

Dave Chappelle specifically said he wrote for Pryor. Why would Chappelle lie?
That doesn't mean he wrote all of his material.
I care that he died because he was a funny guy and i LOVED his movies with gene wilder, but like Slinky said, it's more of a "hey, that sucks" than an "i can't go on..." kind of thing.

Paul Mooney didn't write any of Richard Pryors stand up material, he just wrote for his short lived tv shows.

James, thank you for confirming that you were in no way trying to be humorous, and that you do, in fact, suck balls.
Richard Pryor was a genious and a pioneer in the field of comedy. So if y'all wanna make jokes about him or his death, go for it. (EDIT: Just try to be funny, ok? Otherwise you look like some idiot running up to stab a guy who's just been shot 10 times in the chest and head. Pointless.)
But if you're gonna sit there and say "he was never very funny" then, by all means, do so now so I can add you to my list of "people whose opinions don't mean shit to me." :)

All things considered, since those 103 kids weren't on my TV entertaining me with comedy, I could give a shit!

Given the recent chain of star deaths being of people of ethnic background, and the natural progression of latino to Asian, I would have to say a Black actor.

:/ - What's a pathetic about Richard Pryor's passing is that US newscasts still feel the need to censor his old clips.

I thought he poured cognac on himself and lit himself on fire because he was trying to commit suicide.
And for the record he is not that funny...to me anyways.

Damn Richard Pryor lived through a lot. Amazing that you can do all that to your body and live to a ripe old age. Musta been his amazing gift that carried him through.
