If I wrote a long thread about my views on epistemology over break, would anyone actually read it?

I might, why not post it? I could be intresting

I'm asking because I don't feel like actually writing it all out if no one does... I'm hoping Seth, Derrida, and some others into philosophy on here would read it.

I'd read it but then I'd dissect it and call you an idiot.
But I would read it.

Would you write an essay on epistemology in general, or some aspect of it? It's a rather broad field.
I have limited experience of theoretical philosophy on university level, but it was some 5 years ago and I'm not very up to date.
You look pretty young (if that is you on the picture, sorry if it's not!), and I find it quite interesting that you would take your time and write an essay on epistemology during winter break, so yeah, I'd probably have a look at it.

Nevermind, pointless question. Instead:
Plenty of youngsters are interested in philosophy. It satisfies their compulsions to be the intellectual romanticizer.

Well, I'm a student teacher, so when I hear about kids indulging in theoretical stuff voluntarily, my reptile brain tells me to be encouraging whatever the reason is.

Well, in general. What I'm thinking of spills out into other areas, like metaphysics...
I guess what I'd really be doing is expounding on my philosophical viewpoints, but they mostly relate to epistemology. At least right now. Sometimes I get carried away.
I'm 17, so yeah, I'm pretty young (pic was from when I was 16 I believe). If you ask the average person on here they'll tell you I'm a chronic intellectual masturbator.
And by "essay" i mean "long-ass post." Nothing really formal.

Blasted child, tell your lizard brain to read some of OAO's posts. It mike make you less inclined to coddle. To spare you the time, I'll post a boiled down version of his essay.
Ahem.
I know lots of things and big words about them and their deffinition. In this piece I'll once again be using my precociousness to hold forth on a difficult topic I've managed to synthesize along the lines of a encyclopedia entry, but the truth is I couldn't give a little tin crap about it. All I know is I'm smart as a whip, smarter than you will ever be, and not just smarter, better. I'm the diggiest dawg you will ever meet, the bees knees got nothin' on my knees, I am the SAUCE! I'm wild and freaky and a whole big bundle of amizingness but despite all that I need your validation. VALIDATE ME DAMNIT, I'M GOING TO FALL COMPLETELY APART ANY MOMENT NOW!!! Oh, and I'm wonderful and Gods voice speaks right out my butt whenever I tie my shoes. Double knotts, baby. Lets see you do that.
And OAO, I promise to skim your piece and then make fun of you.

Thanks for breaking it down for me, but what makes you think such adolescent cries for attention and validation would make my reptile brain less inclined to coddle?
Man, it doesn't stop with coddle, in fact, my reptilian bro' up there is looking into the possibilities of adoption as we speak, and has already kicked out the neocortex to make room for a synthesizer.
I'm so full of empathy it's creepy.

"what makes you think such adolescent cries for attention and validation would make my reptile brain less inclined to coddle? "
The reptile brain is coddling by nature, so probably nothing. Where it comes into question is if it can coddle the mammalian brain, and why would a true mammal brain enjoy such a thing? But then, I always turn things into boring psychological babbling.
Essentially this becomes a matter of a "Grown man" sucking on the teet of some cold-blooded, jurassic Isis.

Sorry, but I like to think that I started the psychological babbling in this particular thread.
Also sorry for sort of semi-bumping this thread, but I just want to make sure I don't miss the exciting unravelling of OAO's offer, which must have been the spontaneous outcome of either genius, bravery or foolishness.
I mean, plenty of people twice his age (who probably majored in theoretical philosophy while he still explored the taste of his own toes) have already expressively promised to mock him for it.
Well, OAO, don't let the old know-it-all farts pee on your parade!
