I just watched it, it was the first episode I saw and It kicked ass, i thought it was going to have a lame, happy merry christmas storyline where the aliens celebrated christmas but I was plesantly surprised.

It was hilariously awful. I loved it.

Come on, it was on the CBC, what do you expect. This is the only television station in the world where they went on strike and nobody noticed. It was pretty good for what it was

I think the new Doctor is going to be better than the old one. He seems to have more personality.
I still think they need to have Rose's mother die, though.

"Sycorax rock."
In the Doctor's fifty+ years of existence, I don't believe he has ever had a slow motion swordfight.

The sword fight was piss poor!
I enjoyed it, the story was pretty lame, except for the end where the Prime Minister went all hardcore (although it was an excuse to plug the spin off they are making called 'Torchwood', which I bet will suck. And 'Torchwood' is an anagram of Doctor Who. WACKY!) but david tennant was better than I expected. He was still hamming it up chronically, but did it pretty well. The little trailer for the 2nd season at the end looked amazing...though confusing: talking human-shaped cats dressed as nuns.

I haven't seen any of season 2, mainly because I always forget when it's on. Season 1 was pretty sweet though.
