He had a song, oh, about 4 or 5 years ago, called "How to Rob an Industry Nigga" in which he made fun of almost every single popular rapper and detailed how he was going to rob them. Lot's of people didn't like that, and someone shot him in the face. Seriously. He was shot in the face.

I don't really like him that much, although there are a few good tracks on his album. And Ninjavenom is really right, rap concerts generally suck. There are very few rap concerts I would consider going to. Non Phixion, Dead Prez, Public Enemy, Wu-Tang Clan, the Roots. Not many others though.

I have Sprite Tour to thank for wasting an hour of my life on Jay-Z. I don't think i'd mind a Wu-Tang show, because they've got style, and some sort of gimmick (assuming anyone else considers the multiple members a "gimmick"). Jay-Z, however, is a case in which fate was fucking cruel to me. :( Warped tour let me see Kool Keith, though. :)

I think Blackalicious is from somewhere around where I live. They were supposed to give a concert at UC Davis but then it got cancelled for some reason. But I've only heard good things about them. However, I'm currently in love with Northern State. They need to do a song with Har Mar Superstar, or esle I'll die.

Like everything else in the world, there is good rap, and there is bad rap. When it's good, rap is great. It can be really beautiful, and really moving. But when it's bad, it is shit. Obviously, you're not getting a good picture of the totality of a genre of music if you listen to a Nelly CD.
