This was a pretty good year when it comes to music, so it's hard to choose only one, but I think i'll go with this:

Mew - ...And The Glass Handed Kites

Simply because its awesome.

It's OKAY. Maybe it is the best of 2005, I really haven't heard enough new music to disagree; but I found more than one moment on that album annoying. The Cure plagiarism on track 3 never fails to anger me.
