A Clockwork Orange is not cyberpunk in any way.

What the hell is wrong with you?

A clockwork orange is cyberpunk in the way that the society in which the story takes place is much like the same as any most cyberpunk movies or books. It isnt the technological aspect, its the social aspect.

A CLockwork Orange is dystopian in its view of the future, and so are many cyberpunk stories.

A Clockwork Orange, however, is not cyberpunk, as it contains nothing cybernetic or computerized. Cyberpunk relies heavily on technology to fuel the story and/or build the proper atmoshpere. A Clockwork Orange does not.

It's not Cyberpunk.

i went to a science fiction convention at a local college last year out of curiosity and i sat in on some sort of Q&A on various sciency fictiony things and the three people getting asked the questions worked on various websites or whatever. and one of the questions asked was "is cyberpunk dead?" and i think one of them said "what the fuck is cyberpunk?". also, it took me a year to realize that Harry Knowells from Aintitcool.com was one of the people there.

Are you sure it wasn't a mop resting in a vat of lard because that scenario has fooled me more then once.

i'm pretty sure it was harry. no other mop and vat of lard would speak so passionatly about King Kong for 5 hours.
