People know this isn't the law that was signed off on, right? It was a provision that was part of it to try nd deter people stalking women.

There's an interesting side note. An earlier version that the House approved in September had radically different wording. It was reasonable by comparison, and criminalized only using an "interactive computer service" to cause someone "substantial emotional harm."

Reason for the passing of this law is to forbid the NSA to spy on anyone without showing their true identity...
