Favorite boss battles

Boss battles have always been my favorite part of any game.

"Legend of Zelda:OoT" Bongo Bongo- I still to this day think Bongo Bongo is one of the coolest looking bosses ever made, even though beating him isn't anything special the novelity of fighting a giant, invisible, upside down corpse makes me want to play through the game again just so I can fight him.

Fighting Psycho Mantis without switching controller sockets is awesome. You can only do it on the easiest difficulty though.

Also, I thought the fights with El Gigante and the lake monster in RE4 were fucking awesome.

But my favorite all time boss ever would have to be Ganon in OoT.
He's easy to kill, yeah, but the first time you fought him you were all like "Holy shit!"

I have to agree with RE4 battles too, I just got it last week, but I've not beat it yet. Sera just died though. :(

metal gear solid 3: the old buy (probobly called, like the liver spot or something). when i started the fight i couldnt be bothered playing anymore and saved it, when i got around to playing the game again a few weeks later i was surprized to the extent of saying 'what the hell' every few seconds for a while after.

I liked the battle against the giant mechanical bull in "Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask". It was fun, especially if you did it as a Goron.

pretty much any boss from sonic, zelda, contra, metorid, shinobe, castlevania, resident evil, metal gear solid, or final fantasy games.
or for that matter pretty much any good video game that was made in japan comes with well thought out boss battles.
Its really hard to pick a favorite, boss battles are one of the reasons I still play single player games when most gamers nowadays seem to only play online muiltiplayer games.
Nothing beats a good boss battle, nothing.

Any of the Boss Battles in Ninja Gaiden For the X Box, they start out hard but end up easy when you try them for the third or fourth time. They are just so damn rewarding to beat. Plus the Bosses in God Of War kick ass. Same with RE4.

Most of the bosses from the first 4 Mega Man Xs (though I can't think of any specifically) and the battle with Marquis Elmdor in FFT. I love that one because stealing all of the Genji equipment and the Masamune is one of the biggest challenges in the game. :eek

Magma Dragoon was hard the first time around if you aren't used to the patterns.

I also remeber liking the second fight with the big pirana guy and the fight with the giant manta ray in Super Mario Sunshine.

All the bosses from cave story were cool. I liked all the bosses in Shadow of the Colossus to (except for maybe that damn horse) but my favorites were the sorceror (last one), The sentinal (the second to last one), the boar (the first small one) and the gorilla (the one that walks around in the water).

The Ice Giant in Kingdom hearts was fun to fight and although I never really liked him in FF7, Sephiroth was cool too (did you know sephiroth is voiced by Lance bass in the game), the fight with the tigerhead cave from Alladin was also awesome.

he was a fun boss. or mini boss. along with the ghost gandorf or w/e in the first temple. the way to the first temple, always scared the fuck outa me.

the fish in resident evil 4.

Yeah....I first played this game when I was 8-9 Years old,
And the path up to the Forest Temple freaked me out,because those creepy bull things charge you out of nowhere,and I was a little wussy kid,and stuff. But,I just waited for them to walk by the opening,stood back,and shot them with the hookshot.

Ok, I was wrong. The worst boss ever is Meta Ridley from Metroid Prime. I don't fucking care how many people tell me he was almost impossible to beat, because he was a pussy and if you didn't kill him the first time with 3+ energy tanks at the end of the fight, you are too. >:
