Just wondering what you think

Yes, got a premium package and perfect dark zero...overrated game but the system is amazing.

I've got a premium package, and Call of Duty 2. If you haven't yet, check out the xbox live marketplace, its got some good playable demos to download for free. Condemned: Criminal Origins is fun as hell, and Fight Night Round 3 has the best graphics I have ever seen in gaming ANYWHERE.

Really? Good graphics on a next-gen console? Get outta here...

That's why I made a point to caps "ANYWHERE". I wasn't just comparing it to consoles, the graphics for fight night round 3 are better than any I've seen on any PC game. So don't be a dick just cuz you don't have a 360, you jealous bastard.

Xbox 360 is the kind of thing that's driving the games market down.

While the (very affordable) Nintendo DS is innovating, reinventing the market and bringing in many new demographics of gamers (when a middle aged japanese woman can play against a young man in Mario Kart, you're doing something right), companies like Microsoft are delivering overpriced, though undeniably powerful, systems with lackluster titles. Good graphics do not a great game make.

I'm not sure I understand why everyone got one. Maybe just because everyone else was doing it. I don't see anything on the 360 to play that I can't play on the PC and have a better experience.

Not everyone wants a fucking little handheld system to play mario kart on and not everyone likes upgrading their fucking computer to play the latest games. That's why I prefer my 360 to anything else on the market right now.

Zomboid hit the nail on the head. While I agree that graphics don't make a great game, that isn't the point of the 360. The point is to give gamers the chance to play some games that they might not have a chance to otherwise. That, along with delivering an experience comfortable and familiar to gamers is a very alluring prospect.

That isn't to say that innovation isn't needed. I think it is sadly a lacking commodity in the world of gaming, which I am happy to see Nintendo trying to fix that situation. Still, the fact remains that while I will most likely love Revolution (since I love my DS), I will still want the familiar games that I can get on the 360 (but not on PS3. Overpriced, overhyped, and not the kind of content I like to see in games).

I'm waiting for the PS3 myself, but the X360 looks pretty good as well, but I dunno how you could call the PS3 overpriced when there isn't a released price for it yet :/

The game market is going far from down. There are different areas in the video game industry. You can't compare handhelds to consoles, nor PC to consoles the only thing they share are the games. You can't say Halo 2 is as good as FEAR because There two seperate systems. The 360 will boost CONSOLE sales, while the DS will enjoy its time in 2nd place among handhelds.

PS3 may not have an OFFICIAL price, but they have hinted at a price tag of 500 bucks, and it won't even have a hard drive.

The DS isn't the solution to all, and I'm not saying it is, but the Nintendo Revolution also looks very promising.

Upgrading your computer to play the new Elder Scrolls or Call of Duty is a much cheaper operation than buying the new Xbox.

What does Xbox have that other systems don't?

With my 360 I don't have to worry about system errors, virii, incompatible blah blah bullshit, lag, etc, ANNNDDD I can play the games I want while comfortably sitting on my couch. I can stream music, pictures, etc from my computer, burn music to my 360 hard drive, and the list of other cool shit goes on. It's essentially a computer without all the bullshit that goes along with it.

Oh, and there's something about having a few beers with your friends and playing 4 player console games that you just can't get online with a bunch of strangers.

Nice quoting. My graphics card is two years old and so is my cpu, and I can run all the new games flawlessly. And the last time I upgraded my computer, it cost less than $400 dollars, and it already had games and controllers that I could use.

Also, the PC is a computer, and the Xbox is an overhyped, overpriced console that is extremely limited in what it can and will do and offer (as we saw on the last xbox, even though it was pretty fun it was affordable and had some good games), and people seem to be getting it just because it's new, shiny, and somewhat convenient.

Sure, you can play four player with your friends. You can also do that on the old xbox and ps2, which in my opinion are much better systems. And why are games like Barbie Horse Adventures backwards compatible while Splinter Cell is not?

I hate this thread, and I hate the Xbox 360. I'm gonna order one with some vacation money that I've been saving up, then I'm gonna sell it on eBay for twice what I paid for it. >:

Then I'm gonna use that money to buy a Revolution. >:

i hav no idear what you r talkng aboot.

Anyway, I never buy Systems when they just release. They always have a few bugs in them. Lack of good starting games also contributed to the wait.

But as soon as Chromehounds releases. I shall own my 360.

Custom Robo fighting game to the max. *drool*

I will probably not get a 360 until near the end of this console cycle, just like my regular x box which I got last christmas. I will be saving up for the PS3. That MGS4 trailer looks Sweeeeet.

My sister was nice enough to preorder a xbox 360 for christmas, and I'm also planning on getting a revolution. I like a lot of games and used to have a PS2 and I'm thinking about trying to get a PS3, but probably won't. Computers are just too expensive for me. I can afford to pay about fifty bucks to play games like Splinter Cell and Halo online without having constant updates and big worries about bugs and glitches. My friend also got his xbox 360 around November and it does a lot of stuff my computer can do. Considering I can also connect a xbox 360 to a computer opens up a lot of possibilities.

As much as I agree with the idiots buying 360's, Mother 3 is going too far for an insult. :(

Media. Videos, music, pics. Easier to watch them on my TV then buying a bunch of cords to run my comp to my TV. That's just something I'd like though, you might not need it. There's also rumors that you might be able to run apps through your xbox from your comp.

No, that's something a former owner of the last xbox would say, who only found about four truly unique games on the system, and is seeing the pattern continue on the next platform.

haha say what you will man, but I swear, there's always some people that seem to hate whatever's new and expensive just cause they don't have one. Whether that's the reason or not I really don't care, cause I'm enjoying the games and the system :D

The Revolution is gonna be new and expensive. And I'm gonna love it. It's not a matter of jealousy because I could have an Xbox if I really wanted to. But if you're having fun that's all that matters
