I use yoshimitsu all the time, and I use his double suicide moves when I know I'm about to lose. That pretty much pisses anyone off if they actually hit, because I end up dying like a tenth of a second later than they do :D

I use Steve. I've had some guy I've never met hit me in the arm before.

I'd have to say that in all honesty, he's pretty cheap too. :=

It is very easy to beat up christy, unless you are one of those subnorms who never block and never learn moves.

I can make any character unbalenced. In tekken 3 my friends only let me use doctor b and julie... and I still kicked their ass.

I can pummel christy like no other, but it's ridiculous to pick her and think you're any kind of good at the game if all you're gonna do is press LK/HK the whole time.



edit: also, these characters aren't considered off limits, it's just that you're being a dick if you play them against friends and you knowingly and repeatedly use some of their cheaper moves. For instance, King has a set of low kicks that link together into five hits and if you sink one, you sink all five. Same with his throw. He has a throw combo that takes about 30 seconds to perform, leaving you 3-5 seconds to perform the next button combo for the next throw every time one hits, and it damages out to about 60% if the other player sinks the whole thing. If there were some way of actually getting out of them, i probably wouldn't complain, but it's easily one of the cheapest moves you can use. Steve has a punch that stuns for 3-4 seconds, giving ample time for a 10-hit combo, plus, he can dodge left/right with the kick buttons, leaving Kuma, Heihachi, and all of the slower players fucked. Almost all of Raven's repertoire are knockdown moves. With Christie, pressing LK, HK LK etc in succession or just mashing the two results in several combos wherein she breakdances on the floor and trips you, even if you're already being tripped. Luckily, this can stopped by punching her in the back of her fucking head and making her eat shit >: .

I think the game is ironically balanced in that every character can be cheaped out the ass. I used to use Marduk and would do nothing but crouch back, then tackle. I actually won a real small-time local tournament with it, but they said I didn't deserve it and they gave it to the second-place guy ;(

All I do is just air combo like hell. Whenever I knock someone into the air with yoshimitsu, I try to use his crouching spin move to tack on a little more damage. With hwoarang, I just do his 4 regular kick combo or his 2 low kick combo to juggle them some more, and if time and space permits, do a running move or tackle while theyre getting up.

Bryan, my favorite character, isn't cheap. At least I've never been able to win with him without using many different moves. (they are easy to block unless you change it up constantly)

Fury's my fave too. The only thing i can see being cheap is his <- + LP hit where he punches the person's head to the ground, but that's only if you use it repeatedly. Otherwise, though, i love using him because he's a perfect balance of speed and power, and it's especially satisfying to use some of his throws on your more resilient opponents.

Whenever I play Tekken I always use Kazuya, Jin, Law, or Michelle. But I haven't played a Tekken since Tekken Tag Tournament. :/
