Has anyone seen the previews for this movie yet?

I must say, I have never read the book, but it looks like the Wachowski brothers are making a damn fine movie here. And that mask is all kinds of awesome.

A guy I know on another forum that is a huge comic book nerd loathed the idea of this movie since the beginning. My mom's read the comic too, though, and wants to see the movie. She's more used to the idea of things she likes being "adapted" to another medium, I guess.

But since I haven't read the comic it'll probably be entertaining for me!

I can't watch the new teaser here (if this IS new, that is), but I watched the first one and it seemed loads better than I had feared.

The Wachowskis aren't directing this, though. But it seems like they're hands-on producing and had a lot to do with the adaptation of the material, so I guess it's their project as much as anyone's.

I don't like this one bit. Sure, it looks nice, but I doubt it will be.

Well, we'll just have to wait and see. Sure, his stuff has been butchered in the past (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, for instance), but Moore is a perfectionist when it comes to this, and on the whole, the Wachowskis are the people you want handling a comic book movie, since their movies already play like a comic book.

Probably because they stole everything in their movies from comic books.

Sure, that's a given. What I'm saying is that since this time they actually have the license to the characters, they don't need to steal, and it will still be the same "living comic book" style that they are known for.
