I'm usually kinda picky about what animes to watch, but this had me hooked after the first 2 episodes. I never knew that a show about baking bread could be just so incredibly awesome. The best parts of this show are most definitely the reactions:
Eating a croissant transports somebody to the moon in a space suit with a chef's hat on top. He starts crying, and contemplates life as we know it.
Eating bread specifically made for curry makes that same person have a vision about Mt. Everest, and then have a very weird hallucination that includes an Indian chef holding a ladle of curry with a montage of dancing Indian people within the curry upon closer inspection. There is crazy awesome Indian music the whole time.
An old guy who has toast suddenly becomes the pope, chants in some dead language, and then starts surfing on a wave of miso soup.
The last one I'll explain involves somebody eating French bread made with goat's milk. He all of a sudden is riding on an anthropomorphic shooting star into the cosmos, when suddenly all the constellations surround him. "NO!! I don't want any of you! Get out of my sight!", he yells. They all leave, and he finally arrives at his destination: Capricorn. He then becomes one with the constellation.
I know this is DDAAF but goddamnit I'm hooked
