It started clicking a bit everytime it came on. This started a week ago. Then suddenly today, it all went dark. A bloody 24inch monitor only about 2 years old. I trying to find the recipt, but I doubt I will be able to locate it. Total Shittage.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you think the warranty would kick in for you? It seems two years is a long time.

call the manufacturer. tell them how disappointed you are and ask if there is anything that they can do to remedy the situation.
you might not get a free monitor, but you might get a coupon off another one or something.
just because you don't have the receipt doesn't mean you didn't buy the thing. most companies will try to help you out if you own one of their products. i do this all the time.

24"? Are you sure you're not just using a tv by accident?

heh, I was trying to guesstamate what it was. it was a 21, not 24. Flat screen 21'' CRT. Like I have enough for anything but a CRT.
Anyway, my roomate had a spare 17, which was made 5 years ago. If I run my computer in anything but 800X600 it makes a screeching noise that sets my teeth on edge. And it's dark even on the brightest setting. To dark to play BF2. :( But I can hold out until I scrap the funds.

It's their job to deny, deny, deny. You just have to keep at it and insist on talking to somebody higher up in rank. Be a nuisance, be a squeaky wheel, and a pain in the ass. They can't ignore you forever. They WILL need to address it.
Whatever you tell them, make sure it wasn't due to an act of God. That won't cover crap.

During spring break half a pint of water was spilled onto my laptop and fucked it up, leaving it in the shop for 2 weeks, costing me $500, and I didn't go find some other computer somewhere to bitch about it on i-mockery.

There's a difference between constraint and procrastination.

Hell, if I was careless also and destroyed my computer, I wouldn't bitch about it. But when a monitor, kept clean, away from magnets/children/pets, suddenly dies for no reason at all... I am going to bitch.
I didn't bitch about my car breaking down and costing me $1300 to fix, did I? No, I had the warning signs.
