I've been trying to figure this out since I was 4 years ald and wearing beetlejuice PJs. What is the relationship between Lydia and BJ? They always say they are each other's best friends but is there supposed to be something romantic going on there? A little goth on ghost action? It's like they keep implying it but....not implying it.

A more pressing question is why the HELL Lydia likes BJ at all after what happened in the movie. Logically, it makes no sense.

Still, the answer to that is simple. It was a cartoon created to make money.

he did try to marry her in the movie but she was much less receptive then the pornographic cartoons i saw on somethingawful.com

I actually brang that up when I was watching this cartoon with my girlfriend, and she said she always thought it was cute.
