I thought that picture at the bottom with the angels fighting had the faces of Proto and Rog. Seriously.

Emu
May 5th, 2006, 12:38 PM
I wonder if Rog will come through my town. :lol

RoG comes wherever he is.

OH! OH! JUVENILE JOKE ALERT!!

I need friends, for real. I think the closest person to me is Retro Kat and I'm pretty sure he hates me. :(

Sethomas
May 5th, 2006, 12:57 PM
This isn't I-Friendery, fag.

Fathom Zero

Ditto, Oklahoma sucks. It's all emos and cowboys over here.

master_d_68
May 5th, 2006, 08:53 PM
Haha! I live in Damascus VA, and I tell you that there is NO good local food in Marion VA. It's a shame you didn't get to visit the mental hospital. As for food, Macadoo's is a pretty damn good sandwich shop. The Hibachi place? Well, I'll let you guys see the pictures, haha.

executioneer
May 5th, 2006, 08:53 PM
you guys should have moved to richmond california :x

Mockery
May 6th, 2006, 10:03 AM
Woo hah! Day 2 of the moving to california journal is now up! :o

master_d, glad to see someone else knows just how sad of a place Marion is hahah.

Sethomas, with a little crafty photoshop work, I'm sure you could make the angels in that picture look just like Proto and I.

Emu
May 6th, 2006, 10:08 AM
We have one of those crazy knife shops here :(

Misdemonar
May 6th, 2006, 01:54 PM
Are you going through Vegas?

MarioRPG
May 6th, 2006, 02:41 PM
There was a pirate section in that aquarium? They better have had a "walk the plank" area into the shark tank. :)

master_d_68
May 6th, 2006, 03:56 PM
There's a lot of odd, yet fascinating shit in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but traffic is a HUGE bitch with sweaty titties. When I was 8, I always wanted to hit the knife shops and the other cool stores, but my family was always adament on hitting up Dollywood. Too bad, I wanted to buy the knife from the Crow. Too bad you didn't get to hit the Dixie Stampede RoG, there you get to watch the North and the South fight it out while you eat, and the side of the arena you sit on determines what side you're rooting for. The look on one's face as they tear into a side of ribs, and realize they're accidental racists is a beautiful thing rivaled only by the sight of Athena's bare ass.

What interstate will you be taking once you get into california?

Mockery
May 7th, 2006, 10:48 AM
Woo hah! Day 3 of the moving to california journal is now up! :o

Misdemonar, no, Vegas is a trip we're gonna do separately sometime. We'll have plenty o' time to check it out now that we'll be living in LA.

kahljorn, we're veering off here 'n there, but for the most part we've been taking I-40 across the country. Not sure yet what we're gonna be taking once we get to CA. We're pretty much taking this trip on a day-to-day basis heheh.

Fathom Zero
May 7th, 2006, 11:15 AM
If y'all pass through the extreme south of Oklahoma, might I reccomend to you the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Preserve.
There are buffalo out there that tore my friend's dad's car in half.
I had to chase one of those two-ton bastards off of my campsite,
and damn if I wasn't lucky jumping out of the way.

Terra
May 7th, 2006, 11:32 AM
Maybe you guys should head a bit north? In Missouri there are no buffalo.

May 7th, 2006, 12:30 PM
lol. The picture of the Flowbee reminded me of the scene from Wanye's World, with the "Suck-cut". "IT'S SUCKING MY WILL TO LIIIIIIIVE". Best of luck to yas in L.A.

ziggytrix
May 7th, 2006, 03:53 PM
Looks like you guys are headed thru Little Rock. That's where I grew up, but it's probably too late at this point for me to give you any advice on must-see destinations, and I-40 stays fairly North of anything interesting.

Anyway, say bye-bye to the trees. This is probably your last day of driving through anything but flat, dreary prairie lands until you get to New Mexico.

theapportioner
May 7th, 2006, 04:58 PM
While you're in Arkansas, you should go camp out in the woods and go look for one of dem ivory bill woodpeckers.

Terra
May 7th, 2006, 05:10 PM
NO! It's the beginning of tick season!!! :chatter

Mockery
May 8th, 2006, 10:57 AM
Woo hah! Day 4 of the moving to california journal is now up! :o

Terra, nah, we wanted to do the southern route for this trip.

ziggytrix, actually we headed a bit off I-40 and went down to Dallas and now we're heading down to Waco, Texas. :o

theapportioner, camping out in the woods is something for boy scouts to do, not us. ;)

thebiggameover
May 8th, 2006, 01:47 PM

Woo hah! Day 5 of the moving to California journal is now up! :o

thebiggameover, thanks for the head's up, if we're near there I'll make a point to check it out. A lot of this trip has just been visiting places on a whim without any planning whatsoever, so it's hard to say when and where we're gonna be next really.

Fathom Zero, yeah it was pretty amusing and surprising how much work they put into it considering it's basically in the middle of nowhere.

Max, I have no worries about her. If some fella even gives her the wrong look, she'll put on some shitkickers and do a square dance right on his nuts until he squeels louder than a pig. Yeee haw!

Noob3, not ignored, just no real plans of being in a certain place at a certain time, so we can't say "meet us here at this time" or anything. It's just not that kind o' trip. Sorry you missed a chance to kill us, maybe next time sport!

Thanks again for all the comments both on the boards, in email and of course in the big I-Mockery Blog thread. Hope you're all getting a big Tee-has kick out of the updates so far!

oh, and if you had stopped in that caterpillar building, they sometimes have "star wars: the experience"

there's a fat guy that dresses as an ewok and apparently knows the language. when we saw him, he was completely drunk when he did his act and kept falling over on a fat lady and used her tits to pull himself up.

I can only imagine what kinda madness a picklehat would introduce in Dollywood.

Legitimate Question: How do you feel the move to L.A. will affect your zombie flick, if at all?

Terra
May 9th, 2006, 10:59 PM
Stupid question. They have the COOLEST Zombies in LA.

Mockery
May 10th, 2006, 12:44 AM
Woo hah! Day 6 of the moving to California journal is now up! :o

Italian & Terra, I actually thought Plano was really nice.

Fathom Zero, no they didn't tell us what the flavor was supposed to be and the prune thing is a total myth. They even address the myth at the museum. As for your question about how the move to CA will affect the zombie flick, considering I haven't even started on doing short films of my own yet, I have no idea. It's not something I really consider.

Sadie, thanks! If nothing else, I hope the journal has been fun for you all to read so far. Hopefully it'll inspire some of you to go on some road trip adventures of your own sometime too :o

Whoreable, I think we're gonna get to California sometime on Saturday. We'll probably spend a few days near the Grand Canyon 'n what not (wanna see the painted desert 'n all too).

Sethomas
May 10th, 2006, 01:00 AM
In my time on Route 66 (over a decade ago) I was sad to learn that the Painted Desert is not really painted, but merely offers that illusion from natural phenomena. However, tumbleweeds are great to steal from the desert, as are steer skulls. The latter may require some extraneous tools and proceedures for the classic look if the steer is not yet dead or decomposed.

thebiggameover
May 10th, 2006, 02:09 AM
ok so i-40 is what i thought it was. you gots the haunted motel "monta vista" in flagstaff or in holebrook you can stay in a actual fucking tipi! or teepee! or how ever the fuck you spell it. or you can camp out at the fucking big ass hole in the ground, the grand canyon. grand canion. or how ever the fuck you spell it. anyway, let me be the first to say "welcom to arizona! now get the fuck out!"...

ps. if window rock is on your way, check it out. but dont walk through it you go to another world!!!! :eek

Woo hah! Day 7 of the moving to California journal is now up! :o

Sethomas, actually, according to Tenno, tumbleweeds aren't something you wanna really touch. He posted a long thing about 'em in the travel journal blog thread on I-Mockery. Check it out.

thebiggameover, heh, I think I'll pass on camping out in the grand canyon. I like my modern conveniences far too much than to go sleeping with in a canyon with donkeys.

MarioRPG, just at the museum? How about that entire town is one big lame alien joke.

if you go through the valley of fire, at the end of it there is an indian reservation that is a fireworks store with m80's bottlerockets, and tons of fireworks. And those trucks are probaley going to yucca mountain....:(.

Fathom Zero
May 11th, 2006, 07:23 PM
More often than not, those trucks with tarps and radioactive signs on them contain the suits and Geiger counters and crap rather than your regular everyday radioactive isotope. I found this out the other day when a truck like that derailed on the highway near my house and they said it wouldn't pose a threat, at which point they said it was mostly non-radioactive equipment. I saw the deputies and sherriffs picking up helmets and crap off of the road.

Hai everyone,

I took a lot more photos than what you saw in the journal. Actually, I think I had taken something like over 4 gigs worth of photos by the time our trip was over. As promised, I'm now here to deliver all those photos that you didn't get to see! Granted, some of the photos were of the amazing landscapes It's the absurdly massive 18-page photo gallery from I-Mockery's Great American Road Trip!
