That one level in goldeneye 64 where you have to protect Natalya while she fucks up the goldeneye, and an endless shitload of dudes with SMGs keep pouring out of the doors and surrounding you and shooting Natalya at the same time, it was really faggoty. I never beat the game because of that piece of fucking shit level >:

The Goldeneye level wins. Considering it takes Natalya over 4 seconds to tell you she's being shot in the head with an AK-47. :(

I always hated the Sandcrawler level in Super Star Wars.
But I beat it eventually.
Right now, I'd have to say the level that gives me most headaches is the level in Conker: Live and Reloaded where some prehistoric thugs take all of your money and you have to chase them across lava. I keep hitting dinosaur feet.

A recent aggravation would be in GTA:Vice City where you have to race the getaway driver. He gets a souped up roadster and you get a generic POS. Most annoying game level of ALL time though? Every level after level 2 in Battletoads, ESPECIALLY the one where you race the rat.

Pfft, that was easy. I only died once and that was because of the button mashing part
Guitar Woman
May 17th, 2006, 12:32 PM
In fact, button mashing parts in any game are generally annoying and shitty. The most irritating ones for me were in RE4, because not only did you have to mash as fast as you could (which, for me, requires the use of my index finger), you also had to press trigger combos, and since my finger was busy hitting the A button I could never reach over and hit the right trigger fast enough. :(
Also, every time you fail a mashing segment it just gets harder and harder because your finger gets really sore and tired :(

That mission is super-easy if you can ram him into oncoming traffic or a light pole. If you're really lucky, you'll get him stuck forever, and you'll have no worries. Otherwise, you'll get him stopped/turned around for a bit, which also helps a lot. He seems to have trouble catching up with you, so long as you are a good driver.

Oh god I hated that part with the lava(?) where you had to jump over it in that level. Also, if you die at the last checkpoint inside the bar in Mos Eiesly, its impossible to beat the boss without a full powerup. Also level 3 of T2: the Arcade Game.

I'm talking about the desert place, with the lava that kills you in one hit. If you die in that game, you have to restart that whole game >:

Which one is this? :(
I remember having trouble with one level of Sonic & Knuckles (or maybe Sonic 3), where you were supposed to get through this one part of a temple or something and there's ghosts, but it was near-impossible to do it. I'd always get stuck until time ran out. I managed to beat it out of some kind of freak luck the last time I played. But yeah, there was a design hiccup or something. :(

Sonic 1, where you have to "fight" Robotnik by following him up a water filled tall tall passage with spikes and fire everywhere and the checkpoint just before it doesn't have any rings nearby so you just have to die 80 times.

I'm not sure if this has been said before but on Splinter Cell when you had to sneak past the mindfield with the searchlights.
You had to use the heat goggles to see the mind but you couldn't see the lights. Godamn that fucking part.
I was having so much fun in that game. It was really hard but I would get past the parts with a little trial and error and a little bit of luck but that section made me stop playing that game and every other Splinter Cell game after that.

Even a super spy can't make a shot like that.
gun ranges are in feet, not yards.
Silencers fuck up your aim.
Shooting out the light would be as much of an alert as walking into one.

If he would have a long silencer, then accuracy drop would be minimal...although the muzzle flash and noise aren't supressed as much as they could be....
