Gwar isn't death metal. Death metal makes me think of Carcass, early Kreator, etc.. Gwar was my favorite band briefly way back in high school though.

Gwar sucks, it sucks so much it sucks satan's dick, that not even the tendril flames of limbo could hold them from destroying this very earth, that not even the most evil of demons can listen to them without cryling like little babies, Gwar sucks so much that they where created the flames of hell where a new specturm of pain from listening was created, that spectrum was called, GWAR.

I just started liking them a few weeks ago. Mostly because they covered Alice Cooper, then I started listening to other stuff by them.

GWAR started as a punk band , it stands for God What an Awful Racket ,
they are a punk / metal band
yet they tend to have alot of songs that dont fit into either genre
they have been quoted as saying something along the lines of : we play shitty music and dress up in costumes so people will come to see us .
so they are all more about their stage act and their music .
some of its good but none of it is anywhere near deathmetal
just because they kill people on stage and play guitars does not make them "Death Metal"
