I caught a special free screening of this tonight. Basically, if you are able to watch it for free, go for it. If you are heavily into Jack Black, go for it. Anyone else, don't bother.

There were maybe three or four funny parts, but the rest was pretty dull. I wouldn't recommend it, and there weren't really many catch phrases so I don't see how it's going to be as hyped up as Napoleon Dynamite. There was a plot, though, but it was all Mexican-y and there was wrestling involved and it was just ugh :/

Was his "accent" as least good?

More like "over the top".

Oh yeah, he also breaks character and goes into Tenacious D mode with some singing near the end.

And the final moment of the final fight could almost be a redeeming factor, but I wouldn't see it for any money.

I decided to avoid this one. Considering that the movie preview was incredibly irritating, I figured that it didn't bode well for the movie. Especially when you consider that previews usually contain the better portions of movies.

I'm still seeing it when it comes out.

Yeah, don't let some faggot like me tell you what not to see. :(

Also, it's a Nickelodeon film.

That ALONE is more than enough reason not to go see it.

Saw Good burger once when it first came out at the Rentals...

and I still have the "I'm a dude, he's a dude, she's a dude, we're all dudes, hey!" song in my head.

I never really considered seeing Nacho Libre in theatre, just a rental if at all.

Well, I know my opinion doesn't count, but I liked Good Burger :(

Other than that, No. Nickelodeon shouldn't be allowed to make movies

I'm still seeing Nacho Libre, though :(

I know Keenan went on to become fat, but did Kel fall off the face of the earth or something?

Kel was in Mystery Men and that Rocky & Bullwinkle movie, but I haven't seen him in anything since.

[edit] According to IMDB, Kenan is gonna be in Snakes on a Plane :o

When Kenan became an SNL cast member I remember Kel doing Pepsi commercials.

Unfortunate Events movie just took characters from the books and crapped up the plot + order of happenings >:

The books are ok, though

Yeah, that final moment was pretty amazing

I saw this with friends, and my friends were pretty much the only reason I went. This movie was something of a snooze, but also exhausting in its lack of sincere emotion. Like every moment of emotion in it was just irony. The whole movie is just wall-to-wall irony, which makes it so unsatifying. It wasn't as obnoxious as Napolean Dynamite though. And visually this guys movies are like dumb-downed versions of Wes Anderson movies.

Just saw it. While it's not the next Napoleon Dynamite, it's still better than you guys are giving it credit for.

SPOILER

The use of corn on the cob as a deadly weapon alone was worth the price of admission.

i personally think "not the next napoleon dynamite" IS giving it some credit :/ it would have to try pretty hard to be more boring, anyways

I went to MI:3 last night and the Nacho Libre trailer ran three times.
Frickin' Paramount. Every time they do something good, like their theme-parks, they have to pull a move like this.
