Courage the Cowardly Dog

I have NEVER understood political correctness. I can't for the life of me see why anyone is offended by the word Hell in america. It's not cursing anywhere else. What you don't like to know where we're going in this handbasket?
Tipper Gore sued Twisted Sister for charges of "Porn rock" cause their lyrics were dirty and full of bad words. The problem? She lost the lawsuit cause THEY DON'T HAVE OFFENSIVE LYRICS. Now we have parental advisories which are fine, she later went on the rag again and got her buddy Joe Lieberman cause of Mortal kombat and now we have the ESRB cause Sega decided to meet somewhere in the middle.
Now Jack Thompson is ont he rag and Janet's nipple haunts us. Does saying Shit on TV really matter? How about Fuck? Does it really make bad things happen? If little children here the phrase ass or cunt will the devil control their pants? Honestly why legislate decency if that can't even be agreed upon? As long as our kids aren't made to watch porn, what's the matter with a few bad words? What makes them bad? Look how black people use the N word. They use it in jest so much it's no longer offensive to a lot of people. How about the word punk? In the 50s it meant guys who gave head in prison for smokes, now it just means trouble maker or 3 chord rock. It's only offensive cause someone got a stick up their ass and DECIDED these words were offensive.
Anyway I feel pissed. as a republican and a christian (of sorts) I'm pissed that to represent his constituency of people like me, the Prez has signed a bill of little meaning further pouring itching powder int he panties of free speech.
President George W. Bush on Thursday signed into law legislation that raises fines tenfold on radio and television broadcasters that violate U.S. decency standards by airing extensive profanity or sexual content.
The new law, which boosts fines to as much as $325,000 per violation from $32,500, could help congressional Republicans woo conservatives in a tough election year as they have faced ebbing support from key core constituencies.
The Christian Coalition had placed legislation to increase the fines as the No. 5 item on its 2006 legislative agenda. The new law also caps any continuing violations from an incident at $3 million.
Sometimes I swear pentacostals and teleevangelists make me ashamed to be christian. I'm embarrassed for my faith cause people make stupid meaningless laws and ignore the important ones. Isn't this Jesus' complaint to the Pharisees? Straining at a gnat and swallowing a locust?
JESUS SAID HELL, WHORE, AND ASS! Grow up and focus on real problems of society (maybe commandments 1 through 10 and not something you made up) and not things your Amish Granny is pissed over. If you really were a good christian you'd focus on real sins and not pretend ones.
